I was never a super-big fan of his music, but I agree with subby. His voice is close to perfection.

Okay, I just listened to 3 Simon & Garfunkel songs

3 things are clear

They're great songwriters

Paul Simon is short

I grew up listening to their music. My mom was a huge fan, and I was a lucky kid.

Same.  My mother had an awesome LP collection...I say "had" because I haven't seen it in years - It's somewhere in their house.  ...All the Beatles, Elton John, and various hippie-ish stuff.  Years ago, I found the folk guitar and 60s ashtray that my mother claims was for "decoration".

You need to test her hippie quotient, ask her to sing "Back When My Hair was Short"  and see if she knows the original lyrics or the radio version.

I've always loved Simon and Garfunkel.

Nothing against Mr. Garfunkel, but wtf is that praise in the headline even supposed to mean? Note for note? Purest male voice?

Cool that I share his bday... Wish they had done more together

How terribly strange it is to be seventy.  Must be stranger to be seventy-two.

'For Emily, Where Ever I May Find Her' is a fantastic song made even more amazing by Art's vocal.

In addition, he and Paul Simon could be pretty funny when they put their mind to it:

Love her. Or maybe it was just her album covers while I was growing up.

You know she can't sing anymore, right? Hope she gets into the Rock n Roll Hall of fame next year.

Who can't sing anymore due to Parkinson's - which makes me very very sad.

Two things about this video:
1.  Art's voice has taken a toll in recent years.  Subby should have gone with this version.
2. Paul needs to change the dosage on his medication.  He looked completely out if it towards the end.

Was never a big following of them, but I love this song, this version. After a few drinks or herbs I always give it a listen.
Not just Art but other singers, how can you yell at the top of your voice and still stay in key. amazing

Today I learned Total Farkers can determine someone's height by listening to the sound of their voice. That's gotta be worth much more than $5 right there!

I, for one, always had trouble discerning the respective voices of notable French entertainers Hervé Villechaize and André the Giant.

Good linked version, yes, but the one you posted is in fact better. Either way, the man can sing.
