Last night's "YouTube Awards" was so bad even Rebecca Black is mocking it because they didn't have it on a FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

A website that makes all it's money by repackaging twitter posts is saying something else sucked? Wow, must have been pretty bad

2013-11-04 02:02:32 PM
I tolerated a few minutes of it, but yeah, none of those award shows are my thing.

2013-11-04 02:03:30 PM
I have no idea if they were bad or not, I didn't watch them any more than I still watch the VMAs.  That being said, I can pick just about any subject and find a hundred twits deriding it.  I'm never really sure what the point of that sort of story is.  It's the internet, it breeds discontent.

They didn't have Germart, so that is a travesty in itself.

I didn't even know there were Youtube Awards.

2013-11-04 03:15:33 PM
The whole concept of the youtube award was flawed from the beginning. When only one of your youtube artists of the year nominees is solely producing content for youtube (Epic Rap Battles of History), it's basically just an even worse version of the VMAs. It would have been more interesting to see other people get nominated and not just pop stars who post stuff on youtube.

I voted for them damnit.

Finally, a music awards show so abysmally tasteless it makes the Grammys look legitimate.

No, you fool, the true winner was the vuvuzela dance mix.

I didn't care before I knew about it, I don't care now that I do know about and unless keyboard cat won I'm not going to start caring at any point in the future.

I don't watch YouTube.  I don't even own a Tube.

Seriously, this. I give them credit for Psy since he basically was made famous through YouTube, too, but the others? Fark that.

Shame that ERB seems to be off to a slow start this season, though. Vader/Hitler shenanigans aside, I've not been very impressed with the next two videos. Their production values are through the roof now but there wasn't very much energy in them and the humor was kind of flat. It probably didn't help that the second one was a product placement and that the next one didn't feature either of the guys.

Stirling. FTFY.

Also, she is fantastic. Her cover of "My Immortal" makes it a little dusty in here.

This season'shiatler vs Vader felt weak to me. And this most recent one was hot garbage (although I have only watched it once as soon as I woke up this morn).

However, product placement aside, Capone vs Blackbeard was fantastic. Yeah, Peter makes the same facial expressions and gestures with his hands but Lloyd brought it. This was the best I'd heard Lloyd so far. Peters rhymes were very good as well, but Lloyd actually was Epic this time.

/ saw Assassins Creed did a product placement on Epic Meal Time as well. ERB's was better but EMT's XMen episode was awesome.

She was not nominated for artist of year. She got best cover or some other award. She definitely deserved to be in the running.

Maybe they hired a slew of YouTube commenters as writers for the show?

Cause it sure looked like your typical YT comments section.

I can actually appreciate the humor and "subtlety" in this costume. The rest of the stuff she wears mostly comes off as  desperateattention whoring.
