Go Cheese!

Lifelong Bears fan, but I'm not holding out much hope for tonight or the year.  I'd love to be surprised, but I wouldn't bet money on Da Bears.

Go where?

Josh did a hell of a job against the Redskins, so I'm not too worried about the offense. It's our defense that's weak as hell right now. I'm thinking the Bears are going to lose by 10.

Holy smokes, that's 6/6 for me on MNF headlines!

More like Grand MASTER Joseph, amirite!  Good jorb. You appear to have found your niche.

Also. Look, a doggie!

I should go find a Bears doggie, just to stay neutral.

The Packers doggie is named Lambeau, btw. Beau for short, according to my notes on the picture. No notes on the Bears doggie, though.

The Packers doggie? I don't remember. I've had that picture hanging around in my photobucket for years. I had added the notes about his name when I uploaded it.

The Chicago doggie is from a website selling the coats.

You'll be underwhelmed by day-old (or older) cheese curds. There are volatile flavors and aromas that are long gone by then. You pretty much have to get them the day they're made.

Jeez, my body clock is all wonky. It's only 5:30, dark and I'm thinking I should be in bed.  Think I'll drink a beer instead.  Beer fixes everything.

You had to mention fresh curds. Now I have to run to the curd truck before going home to watch the game. (Yes, there is a cheese curd truck that sells fresh curds).

I remember when this used to be a rivalry.

In the years BF (Before Favre) the Bears were pretty damn competitive, used to even win a majority of these things.

Not since.

When I was a kid I would look at the head to head record and think the Packers would never catch up.  Now it's 91-87-6 Bears.  Since 1992 they've gained 20 games (31-11 Packers).

My torn-ACL sense is tingling. I hope it's a false reading.

2013-11-04 07:29:00 PM
If Cutmyself were playing, and the oline were playing well, then they might have a good shot at it.

As it sits now, with one of the Flying McCown Brothers at the helm and the oline playing worse as of late as opposed to better....I'm gonna have to go with 'not bloody likely'.

All that being said, though, these two cane face of with one at 10-1 and the other at 1-10 and it'll be a coin-flip finish some times, so I'm picking my Packers and chillin' a twelver. Gonna be a fight either way.

2013-11-04 07:29:23 PM
I need 50 pts or so out of the quadruple-headed monster that is Rodgers/Nelson/Crosby/Lacy and zero points out of Jeffery. So I'm rooting for a 45-3 GB victory.

Cheese curds cannot be properly explained or described. They simply cannot. Words do not exist.

They must be experienced.

...

Yea, I know. My wife had the same look on her face. Then I took her to Wisconsin one summer and she tried them. Now she not only insists I was 100% right (a rarity in itself) but makes room in the budget for bi-annual dry-ice overnight shipments from the folks. Of several pounds of cheese curds.

Cold. Warmed in the mic slightly. Deep fried. They are the goodness of cheese personnified. And they go wicked awesome well with beer. 'Natch.

i got McCown as my starter this week.  I need him and 2 IDP guys (Major Wright and Hawk) to outscore Jordy Nelson and Martellus Bennett. I have a 5 point buffer currently.

I also need Rodgers to score less than 30 points to hold on in another league. I'm not confident I can win either, hehe.

Ah, but they are still 9-0.

Hopefully the Ponies can knock them off that pedestal.  Otherwise it'll be up to the Bolts, the Colts, and the Dolts.

I flipped back and forth on Bears +10, so i'm leaving that alone.

Going with some small plays for fun:

Under 51
Over 3.5 FG's.

Weird to be a Lions fan tonight.  On one hand, you want the Packers to lose, because the Packers losing is like sweet chocolate cupcakes. On the other hand, the Bears losing puts Detroit into slightly better playoff position (being a full game ahead and a tiebreaker) for the last wild card spot with the frickin' Cam-oh-lina Newtons.  Decisions, decisions.

Expecting full nanners from the Bears, and the Packers winning by at least 17.

From the trib:
The Packers rank third in the NFL in points per game (30.3). Defensively, the Bears are on pace to allow the most points in a season in franchise history.
