How is it someone can do a producers con in this day and age after two movies and several stage productions.

I think the number of comments in this thread is indicative of the demand for such a production.

Sounds like he figured out he could conceivably make more money with a flop than he could with a hit...

Producers have learned how to steal without risking jail. It's right on every ticket. $1.25 theater restoration charge.

When was the last time you paid extra to go to the mall just because they repainted the joint?

I wanted to say, "Done in one".  However, the hypocrisy of it is frustrating.  I consider myself agnostic, so I don't have a dog in this religious fight.  That being said I find it funny/frustrating/scary how easy it is to make fun of one religion while treading lightly with another.  I guess it's because one group will kill you while the other just fusses.

You're looking at the wrong price on the ticket.

Paying $111 for any show that doesn't involve a blowjob is extortion.

From TFA, Columbia's review of the then Columbia production:
"'Little can be done to deny the star power of SPEARS, which manages to tackle the marriage of Spears and Christ in a way that respects both deities and keeps the audience fully engaged and entertained,' the review said",

This somehow validates my opinion of Theater Majors.

And the following 2000 years of aftermath were shown to the theme of "Toxic"

You do not have to duck around me. I am an easy going Christian and don't mind people making fun of my faith. Heck, you might get me to laugh with you on the majority of days. Most of us have a good sense of humor and do not really mind criticism, some in fact welcome it. It is a small group that are the bad apples, examples can be seen with Westboro Baptist Church, that might find this offensive and will raise a public outcry about it. And sadly, some of those can be militant in nature, the abortion clinic bombers are a good example.
