"The alligator was discovered when I giant came to O'Hare to inform the alligator that he was a wizard."

The alligator will be played by Tom Hanks in a movie about its life.

Can you imagine the double take that was done when it was first discovered?

Was the alligator bright neon green from all that weird relish they eat in Chicago?

This particular species has evolved to feed on feelings of despair and rage, making Chicago O'Hare its natural habitat.

Oh, the alligator probably knew it was just a matter of time.

I'd bet some stupid parents bought their kid an alligator as a pet, then went on a vacation, and the kid tried to pack the gator in his bag. It wouldn't have lasted more than a day or two outside a terrarium at that age, this time of year in Chicago.

I'm sure the gator as well as any tourist wouldn't know any better .  Deep Dish = overpriced tourist pizza . Flat crust cut into squares =regular Chiagoans pizza.

Oh yes, I've seen it there. It tried to mate with my alligator skin suitcase.

You're not from Chitown, are you? Heh. The locals just know the right places to get the deep dish, not the Giordanos stuff that everyone flocks to.

I guess some people are laboring under the assumption that the whole "Chicago deep dish is pizza or not pizza" debate becomes a more interesting topic after the main points of:

a) "Yes, it is",
b) "No."
c) "No, it's casserole"

are repeated again and again and again on Fark in an infinite loop.

Answer: It's doesn't.

How many obese miscreants does it take to derail a thread towards the topic of pizza?  I'm going to leave the thread, but alligator to see if anybody's got an answer.

I live in Chicago. Most people usually eat the thin crust cut into squares, as he said.

I do like deep dish though...but I prefer the non-stuffed kind.

Aldo, true NY style is a grease paper fail. Too many New Yorkers try to play this off by pretending true Italian style pizza is NY style. It isn't.

There is no one true pizza, even in Italy.

Celery-salt on your hot dog is a NY System wiener, it has nothing to do with Chicago... at least as long as you give it the proper toppings of meat sauce and yellow mustard.   if Chicagoans put some sort of hipster shiat on it they can keep it - but it didn't come from there.

True dat. Some of the worst pizza I ever had was in Firenze and Rome. Limp, undercooked dough, bland canned sauces . . . blech.

Seriously? My Dad grew up in Chicago, and apparently pretty much lived in Gino's East during college and med school. Everyone else I've met from Chicago is pretty loyal to their pizza. Sounds to me like you just suck at being a Chicagan.

I do know that they have a particular fast food chain that sells you a pizza folded into quarters. It's been too long for me to remember specifics from a trip nearly a decade ago, but boy do I know American gellato is sub-par :(

I like my pizza hot. And chew-able. Sweet Jesus, some of you guys have issues.

I still would be okay with the pizza. I will still try to love you also... Even if you are stupid.

I know very few people outside of Chicago that would ever put celery salt on a hotdog. It really should be a staple. So yummy on dogs.

He wasn't rich. Came from a working class background with a single mother. But he went to school, did well, and made good and whatnot.
