I see the problem,  "  he was driving a moped "out in public.  His friends probably saw him and he committed suicide by running into the sign.

What are the odds the some MBDrunk asshole forced him off the road and into the sign?

This isn't that common, you know. Mopeds typically have a hard time hitting the speed limit.

Big deal. If I could find storage space for the winter months, I'd buy a moped. Great gas mileage and easy to park, plus great for short trips.

It's Myrtle Beach.  He probably committed suicide just to get the fark out of that shiat hole.

If there is a less bad assed way to die, I haven't seen it.
Maybe suffocating under a pile of kittens.

Myrtle Beach?
The odds of hitting this sign would be better.

Mopeds are awesome. 100+ MPG.  If I need to grab something quick from the store it would cost me $4 or more in gas to fire up my car or even my motorcycle and go out there (large cold engines get shiat mileage). On the 'ped it costs less than 25 cents so I can do it whenever I want to and is just as quick as the car.  Plus, no insurance costs

Slip and fall on ice, breaking one's neck? Friend of a friend went that way, my friend was pretty shaken up by it. We were all in our mid 20s at the time, so it was a significant dose of reality for him.

I don't know how it works in Myrtle Beach, but here in Podunk if you're on a moped you're either a broke kid fresh out of high school or you have 4 DUIs. I watched a guy putter on by huffing duster and steadying the handlebars with one hand. I'm more inclined to believe "drunk guy on moped veers off road."

I haven't seen an actual moped in decades. I wish I had one.

Now that's dedication, reporting on your own demise.  RIP good brave sir Sgt Allen

According to Traffic Sgt. Jim Allen with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, he was driving a moped near the 5700 block of N. Ocean Boulevard around 4:00 p.m. Saturday when he went off the ride side of the road and was ejected into the sign.

Do mopeds still exist? I can't remember the last time I saw a street legal motorized two wheeled vehicle with bicycle peddles.

I lost a friend who was lying in a hammock and one of the trees the hammock was attached to suddenly fell on her and she bled out. Life is so damn fleeting.

Moped:

The moped (short for MOter/PEDal) had pedals to help offset the weak-ass engine, or if it runs out of fuel.

Where as the scooter has a stonger engine, some strong enough to hit 90+ mph.

After having watched a drunk neighbor flip his scooter end over end, when he hit the only thing in the entire yard that wasn't grass, I'm inclined to agree.

It was like being in a huge parking lot, with only one other car in it, and he still managed to hit it.

This is one of those "You're the only one who cares" things. You're absolutely correct, but nobody gives a shiat.

For a few years there I thought I cared. Guess not. Thanks for clearing that up.

You find yourself saying "I know I said that, but what I meant was..." a lot, don't you?

Mopeds and fat chicks. Both are fun to ride until your friends see you.

There are quite a few motorized bicycles here in NorCal. Mostly they electric.
I don't think any of them are marketed as "mopeds" anymore.
