Pringles and Rolo combo is surprisingly good.

It's been done in Japan for quite a while now, though I'm not sure it's particularly common outside Hokkaido.

Now if only they'd sell chocolate covered soda, then  I could have a heart attack in my mid thirties.

There have been chocolate covered potato chips done by dozens of companies already out in the US market for years. I am surprised that Lays took this long to jump into the market.

Certainly not the first, but definitely the largest American company to do so.

if they're anything like the last bag I had, there will be five chips in it.  (sees bag will be five ounces)  maybe ten in these then?

Could work.  I like to dip Wendy's french fries into a Frosty, so this is roughly similar.

I've read [probably here] numerous articles citing studies saying chocolate is heart healthy. It is rich and filling, so probably makes you eat less than if you were just snacking on an uncoated chip. Bypass surgeons may have more free time, subby.

Yeah, okay. Do you honestly believe the type of people who would eat chocolate covered chips would stop eating when they feel satisfied? You must have never been fat.

Heads up - the Jimmy Fallon-flavored Late Show ice cream made by Ben&Jerry's, ostensibly vanilla with chocolate-covered potato chips, is just terrible. Like eating potato-flavored ice cream. In Russia. In winter. Literally, cold potatoes. And then you inexplicably blurt out some sort of slavic curse against Jimmy Fallon, and throw your spoon down. I do not recommend this flavor of iced cream.

I like chocolate and I like potato chips but chocolate covered potato chips are nowhere near as awesome as the combination sounds like it should be.  The chocolate weighs down the chip and takes away some of the snap.  I'll pass.

I love chocolate covered potato chips, and choco covered pretzels have been made by nestle for a while, but I generally never eat them cause they cost a small fortune. Don't think lays will be any different.

Healthy chocolate is dark chocolate that is 70% cocoa, not the hydrogenated (aka heart attack fat) chocolate they cover these chips in.

Looked for these in the store yesterday, no luck.  Will be keeping an eye out for them...
