Not that it's the first time your mom rode on top of a flaming rocket.

Gecko Gingrich: I wonder if there will be any robots on board, friendly or otherwise.

There will be a robot who's helpful until he falls in love with Aishwarya Rai and makes multiple copies of himself to run amok.

We also would have accepted:

"I launched a rocket into your mom just last night!"

or...

"So beautiful....they should have sent a poet. But your mom is the inspiration for 33% of dirty limericks, so close enough I guess."

I know, I was referring to the film. I saw it in the local Indian theater, and a good time was had by all.

I was thinking you were referring to the movie, but I wasn't so sure. It's amazingly hilarious, but also cool, and quite better than any stuff that Michael Bay makes.

I maintain that, vis-a-vis pop culture in the US, Indians are the new Jews.
* overbearing mothers
* don't marry outside the tribe
* first generation work in retail, so that second generation get professional degrees
* love to argue

30 years from now they'll be writing our popular music and producing our movies.  And I have no problem with that.

I honestly think that Firefly got it a little wrong, it's not just be us speaking english and/or chinese, but maybe one of the major indian languages as well, and perhaps either spanish or portuguese.

By the way, maybe this would appeal to you too?  Shaolin Soccer - a Hong Kong action movie about ... soccer. Yes, it's ridiculous, but great fun.

That thing is going to need some bigger rockets if it's launching your mom into space, subby

That's okay, I'll just be out here in the cold, dark, emptiness of interplanetary space. You enjoy Earth.

Ain't no rocket big enough to launch your mom into space.

That was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Shaolin Soccer I'm sure will be equally entertaining. Many thanks for the bewilderment.

I want to see that director with a Hollywood budget.

It will go to Mars, call back home for tech support. After an hour on hold for an engineer, it will ask for the
whole instructions for doing the needful...
