Yeah, just pull them over and take their licenses and phones.

Do people actually think that the general population DON'T use their phones constantly while driving?

...I think I phrased that lousily. What I mean is; the general public use their phones constantly while driving. This isn't surprising to me in the least.

"these are the worst people ever in the history of the universe" but we will protect their privacy.

I've done that but using a regular camera (Nikon Coolpix) and the timer....hit the button and let it do it's magic. Safer than a regular selfie......

You know what's more annoying than people taking pictures while driving?

The chick in that video's voice.

Wait, they do? Damn and here I thought everyone was responsible enough not to do that. Well, I think I am gonna have a dozen shots or so and head on down to my friends house. Only a 30 minute drive and it goes much faster that way.

A dozen shots is still a bad idea, but the point is that the fact that there is a large percentage of the population using phones while driving and the roads have NOT become a bloodbath, is evidence that the whole "Cell phone use = YOU'RE A SCUMBAG AND A ROAD MENACE" litany is fearmongering at best and a money grab at worst.

I saw a woman today rotating between her cell phone, vaping and cleaning her windshield. All while driving down one of the busier roads in the area while bouncing between lines.

/I'm sure she wasn't high.

I'm weird when it comes to cell phone usage and driving. I bought a BT headset just for driving, and still try to get off the phone as quickly as possible if I have to take a call or use my phones GPS system. I also have avoid getting side swiped by idiot collage age kids that just have to send that one last text while speeding on city roads.

/Hate those collage aged pricks that do that.

That's not weird -- that's acknowledging the driving takes priority as it should be, but I still say it's not a mutually exclusive task.  You can do both, but you need to set your mind to the road first and the contact second.

Any age if you can handle it, I am just sick of dodging around the 20 somethings that don't pay attention because their BFF just updated twitter/facebook and they just have to check it while in traffic.

Well, it's both used in elementary school art classes and as a serious art form.  No particular age.

Yeah, I like to pass them on the left, 6 inches from the driver's side window on my sport bike at 140mph.

"That's so dangerous!  Sport bikes are a road menace!  You made me drop my phone right in the middle of a very important Candy Crush level!"

And you sound like a douche. Responsible driving. Not a thing to fark with when you are in something that weights 3,000 pounds and can run things over.
