Langston: God, I hope they get all their information from Fark:General: "Captain, give me the morning news briefing."Captain: "Ohhh, a whole lot of idiots in the world today, sir. Naked, drunken idiots. Also a surprising number of cats."General: "Cats?"Captain: "Yes sir. Millions of them. They're pretty sarcastic."
ElLoco: For some reason, every time I see that anymore, I first read it as 'the Pentagram.'
Sean M: Does anyone know of a replacement service? I found it quite enjoyable actually.I also get NYTimes' TimesDigest which is a 10 page 8x11 PDF summary of the paper, INCLUDING the crossword. Not cheap, but well worth it. I've been reading it since college and my office subscribes to it now. Every exec has a copy on their desk waiting for them when they get in the morning, or ready for them in the car / plane / hotel room if they're traveling.

johnny_vegas: edmo: versus the house organs each post puts out stuffed with happy talk.you should probably read the Early Bird more often...at the very least before posting about it
doyner: This is unfortunate. There are a lot of stories in the Early Bird that'd never make it to Fark. It was quite useful.
