So, they wanna get F*cked at work. F*cked by the government. And, F*cked by the health infrastructure?

Sounds like all they understand is getting F*cked ...

/f*ck it

jst3p: Right wing talk radio was all over it this morning. To them, sex workers really aren't people.

Freepers being freepers:

The Whores of Obamylon.

AZT and the other AIDS drugs aren't cheap; because the freaks work for cash, I guess we'll be paying 100% for them...

These drugs are already paid for through public health clinics.

Believe it or not, it is in the public interest to reduce transmission and keep people from dying, no matter how they got sick.

Fjornir: elysive: I think it's great that they're getting healthcare, but did anyone notice that the pre-subsidy costs were pretty much the same for Obamacare and private insurance? I hate to point out that it's easy to qualify for low income tax credits when you dont report your income.

/Obamacare, affordable for prostitutes so long as prostitution is illegal

So let's legalize prostitution.

So that beaurocrats can screw over prostitutes and make their insurance unaffordable?

/would have recommended legalization for other reasons, but ok

It would put pressure on governments to be more responsible about their debts and loans. ...hasn't met a whore, yet, who could abide giving anyone credit.

That's because 10 months out of the year they are broke and doing jobs for free to keep their names out there. These leeches just want free AIDS meds and care. Pick yourselves up by your leather whips and get a real job.

Pro-tip: healthcare isn't exactly cheap anywhere else, either.

Rent is.  San Fran is generally one ofthe most expensive real estate markets in the US.  And it STAYS expensive way out into the stix.

FTFY.

Yes, you can get cheaper rent in Stockton, but then you've got a 3-hour commute each way. Not good for families, you Family Orientated Conservatrons with Family Values and What Not. Oh, it shouldn't take 3 hours, but traffic on I-580 is just creepin' during rush hour, the whole farking way.

Yes, but you see it's offset by the fact that because their profession is illegal, they cannot deduct the cost of their lubes, condoms, ointments, creams, dildos, floggers, riding crops, nurse outfits, librarian outfits, schoolma'arm outfits, rubber gloves, lube applicators, buttplugs, handcuffs, rope, fishing nets, ping-pong paddles, fraternity paddles, canoe paddles, defibrillator paddles, enema bags, enema tubes, enema nozzles, Nestle's Instant Enema-In-A-Minute® Mix, Mug Root Beer (for enemas), leather hoods, leather gloves, leather cod-pieces, male-chastity devices, male-chastity device cleanser...

The list goes on. This profession may have minimal start-up costs but if you have any intention of being more than a dilettante, you should invest in quality equipment and lots of it..

Deduct the cost from what? Their reported income subject to tax? *facepalm*

dj_spanmaster: Like a sex therapist? Because I've seen that movie, Helen Hunt's boobies were a real treat.

Um, yeah.. this.  When you don't report your income, everything you buy is 100% tax-deductible.

This is a particularly interesting issue.

1) Sex workers getting health care = very good for public health
2) Criminal tax-dodgers getting even more government handouts (additional to welfare, disability, etc.) = bad for the budget

I s'pose it's a lesser-of-two-evils thing?  Does the benefit of improved public health offset the money lost in additional handouts to criminals?

Any defense attorneys here?  If an individual is convicted of prostitution or another illegal-income crime, are they typically subject to a tax audit?

don't you mean six workers?

I need a sex worker.

The tax breaks people get for this health care doesn't bug me so much since it is money that would have come from their income. I am upset over the raise in costs and loss in service we will be having very soon.

See, that's why it's a joke, the whole chicken-and-egg conundrum, and circular fallacy rendered in linear form (Aristotle). That, and the Enema-in-a-Minute, 'cause it's funny to say fast. I made that up. And Frosty Mug Rootbeer Enemas, you wouldn't really do that. It'd just be a sticky mess, and not in a good way.

what_now: Well this is a terrible idea, because those filthy whores aren't people, and shouldn't be treated as such.

As far as I'm concerned, if you don't pay taxes, no you aren't people. Logic dictates if your lucrative illegal lifestyle lets you bring in more money in a night than I do in a month, you should get off your ass and buy your own damned healthcare rather than use the government to make me pay for it, asshole.
