Goddamn, their coffee is nasty. The only coffee I've ever had that was worse was JOE! from Burger King. I don't know how it's possible to fark up drip coffee, but they pull it off.

English muffin, with egg and cheese.  Not horrible for you, good crazy quick morning breakfast if you're on the road.

But good f--king luck ordering that.

/you can order a "egg buscuit with cheese" and get somewhere
//but try ordering a muffin with just egg and cheese and 9/10 you'll end up paying double the price of the same sandwich *with* meat
///except the Hindi owned place by my parents house that had a huge vegetarian dollar menu for breakfast *and* lunch/dinner, but corporate put a stop to that nonsense

Hey, I didn't know they were gonna start selling McDonalds hash browns in st.....*checks TFA*

F*ck that.  Their coffee is terrible.

Microwave sausage patties? They already sell those in grocery store.

I find it ironic that the LA Times posts a picture of an Ad that was found on a billboard in PROVO UTAH. Has anyone told McDonalds that location was a poor choice for a coffee ad?

Dunkin' Donuts is the worst I've ever tasted.  I don't mean the coffee in their stores - it's passable - but the bagged product they are marketing in supermarkets would make good crab-louse medicine.

I've never had it in a bag at home, but I love DD. It helps if you like cream and sugar in your coffee, because the cream they use is what makes it.

/you notice they don't sell that in stores.

The coffee up here drastically improved a year or two ago when they switched their stores to all have McCafe stuff in it, now they're shockingly one of the cheapest places to get fairly decent coffee.
I mean it's no Vivace (from seattle) but it's better than timmies now.

They're going to sell 16-year-old girls in tight polyester pants impressed by my ability to buy wine coolers?

I'm having a cup of McDonald's coffee right now.

For a buck it's pretty hard to beat. Wouldn't buy it to make at home, though.

Tastes okay to me, although the hooligans that make it always mange to fill the last mouthful with grounds. I'm pretty tolerant of bad coffee though.

Hate their coffee.  Wish they'd go back to the old foldgers, at least you could doctor that up to be drinkable.

Seattle's Best is a Starbuck's brand so, duh.

I think their coffee is fine. It's not gourmet, and I'm not buying it for the house because I am a coffee snob, but if I'm out and about and need a quick cup, I'll go through a McDonald's drive-thru before I pay money to Starbucks for their swill.

Pfft, I've been getting bleach at the supermarket for years.

I think that their coffee has a faint hit of melted plastic. It always has it. is it just me?

I thought it was Newman;s Own coffee at mconalds everywhere, but I guess it turns out that is just a northeast thing according to wiki

Its not that delicious, I wonder why its not the same everywhere.  Or if it is but they don't market it as such for some weird reason

I buy The following Starbucks varieties:

1.- komodo dragon *
2.- Sumatra
3.- Guatemala.Antigua
4.- Verona

I'm sure there must be better, there must be cheaper, there must be better AND cheaper, but I love the taste of those and there's $bux in every corner so I don't have to go find the specialty shop in X neighborhood that is open only during half moon or something.

* motherlovers stopped bringing that one for some reason. Whenever a friend goes to the USA I ask for a bag.

Starbucks intentionally sells Seattle's Best as their "low end" coffee.  Basically the Milwaukee's Best of coffee.

That coffee tastes like sewage, unless you put sugar and cream in it, I guess.  I like my coffee black, and I can't drink the crap from McDonalds.

Store-bought sweet and sour sauce just doesn't have the same balance of apricot juice, vinegar, and corn syrup at the McDonald's stuff.

It's the same phenomenon at Tim Hortons. This stuff is a pretty good substitute, though:

Drip at home and French at work. I like both. Freshly ground beans for both. Plus the drip has a autostart timer.

I do like McD coffee myself.  At home I mill and brew various beans from guatemala, kenya, sumatra etc.  I was curious about the beans they use and so, from the McD website: "Our Premium Roast coffee is a blend of Arabica coffee beans grown in Brazil and the mountains of Colombia, Guatemala and Costa Rica. Our McCafé specialty coffee blend comes from Brazil and the mountains of Sumatra, Guatemala and Costa Rica."  Not too shabby if you ask me
