Scale is all wrong in that one, from that distance you'd be lucky to see the bottom of the AT-AT "body"

Interesting and good catch.  You're right.  Those are tiny tiny AT-ATs.

The Thomas Kinkade painting I like are his Disney ones. It is like Wheres Waldo when you look at them. He hid several characters in them ranging from Tinker Bell to Bambie in the Beauty and the Beast picture he did. It was fun to just stare at them and see if you can find all the characters. Not to mention they are actually great pictures too.

Did not know that. Still an awesome work of art. Was at Disney last weekend and got to see these. Was fun standing there hunting all the little hidden characters in there. Tinker Bell was always the hardest to spot.

Yeah, as realism, his paintings are trite.  If you look at his cottage in the woods style paintings as "fantasy" landscapes, the modest home of the world saving hero to be rather than a simple home, they sort of work.  I think that's why his paintings lend themselves to this kind of over-the-top alteration.

My parents have one actual Kinkade painting and a few replica paintings and such. I bought my mother the 9/11 banner he made soon after the attack. Must admit, I do like his art work though I am not an art enthusiast so I do not have an appreciation for paintings and such.
