Saw the original trailer for this before Despicable Me 2. Was grinning like a fool through the entire thing. Girlfriend sighs and says, "I guess it's safe to assume we're going to be going to see that..."

/Also, I think that's supposed to be Gandalf, not God...

Maybe I'm just not cool enough.

I'm guessing it's CGI emulating stop motion, but not actual sm.

I was going to be all condescending about this until I saw Abraham Lincoln blast off in his chair.  For some reason, I thought that was hysterical.

You know how some kid movies will have something for adults so that they aren't sitting there bored?
Watching the trailer I don't get the impression that this is one of those movies.

All right, I'm the person who went on a scavenger hunt in my town to find the ONE Redbox that had the Lego Batman movie.

It was cute.  I can't say I hated it.

Of course, I have a fondness for the Lego sense of humor.

That said, I'm scratching my head over this.  It could be great.  It could be dumb.  I guess I'm in.

I understand the small-g god, but you damn well better capitalize The Goddamn Batman.

Lego movie?  This is going to be horrible.

*watches trailer*

Huh.  Wasn't expecting to laugh.  I may have to see it now.

The only thing that could make this more perfect is if they got Kevin Conroy to play Batman. Jesus H. Christ that would have been amazing. But clearly we can see Will Arnett's star rising in playing this role.

Meh.  Modern conveniences are nice, but I like having the excuse to go out of my way sometimes. It's a "stop and smell the roses" thing.
