Who needs enrichment? Just use a better reactor design which can run on natural uranium and/or thorium.

Yes, enrichment is dangerous.  A safe solution to Iran would be what we did with Russia after the soviet collapse: run their reactors for them in exchange for transparency.

Several countries offered to give Iran fuel rods at below market rates if they'd abandon their enrichment program.  They refused.  This must mean they want to be bootstrappy.  Can't be anything else.
