How will this be noticed from their previous blocking?

I think they're trying to get the filibuster killed, just so that they can have "You killed the filibuster!" to run on.

So, Harry Reid, how's that tenth round of of "we'll compromise and let you keep he Fillibuster since you promise you won't abuse it any more" working out for you?

At some point the GOP has to start being for something instead of just against whatever the DNC is doing.

Thanks, GOP. This will no doubt create 785,000,000 jobs and I'll have more jobs than a meth-addicted Jamaican and won't have any time to fark! Can't a man walk down a street in this country without being offered a job?

It's more of a zone-blocking scheme; takes advantage of todays quicker legislators and can really open up lanes for big pork.

The President has a Constitutional mandate to nominate these judges.

They're trying to get the filibuster killed so they could take advantage of the lack of filibuster next time they're in the majority without having to kill it themselves.

If Harry Reid would grow a pair and get rid of the filibuster, they could whine about a democrat "takeover" of the senate and how Obama gutted the principle of government the founding fathers held most sacred.  Mock outrage and persecution would flow like water.

I still think it's an amazing testament to the sheer ignorance and malice present in of some pockets of America that "representatives" can continue to be elected from these districts despite having no other policy than "making sure that guy doesn't get what he wants".

Listen up you inbred twaddleheads and mushy old sacks of geriatric mashed potatoes. They're your representatives. If that's what you really want, fine, but the SMART money is on electing people who will do things for you not try to stick it to people you've never even met and never will.

Instead of electing people to try and hurt everyone else, maybe try electing people who want to help YOU? It's a wild idea, but I think if you actually uncurled that sneer and tried it once in awhile you may be pleasantly surprised at how much better your life could be.

I'm hoping the next two elections reduce the Republican party to rubble and something at least a little bit less farktarded rises in its place. I mean, I'd be okay with them completely reforming the party, but I'd rather this period go down in history books as the death of a party, to serve as a warning against ever behaving in such an asinine manner again.

As long as there is a billion dollar industry in spewing DERP propaganda and a populace of willfully ignorant consumer base eager to eat it up, the GOP will never approach anything near sanity.    It's just going to continue to get worse.  The Red States are just going to turn darker red, and their representatives will be more and more shameless about sabotaging government from the inside.  They may only have 40 elected Senators, but they will be 40 Ted Cruz clones.

I'm afraid we're just going to white knuckle ride a continuous shiatstorm of DERP for a few decades until a generation dies off.

You forgot ACORN and SNAP benefits to veterans and military families. So there is even more dough to swim in or to give a tax cut to the top 1%.

How much more money do we spend on court cases, appeals and the like, being held up by justices with packed dockets than we spend on the salaries for those justices?

Of course it won't, but that doesn't mean they won't try to get the Democrats to kill it for them. Also, I suspect that they might actually leave it intact - after all, they were fairly effective in overcoming Democratic filibusters with nominees during the Bush Administration, and for normal legislative business they'll use budget reconciliation.

Hate is all they have.  Sad and pathetic, they spew their bile on any available target.  This is just another spasm of the dying bigots.  We'll be done with them soon, and the only question is how bad are they going to bust up the place before they finally go.  Their future is nothing.  How ironic it would be if their religion was actually correct - Jesus meets them at the pearly gates, looks sadly at them and says "I meant every word.  I even warned you about twisting my words to your own advantage.  I'm sorry, but you can not come here".
