I have taken to buying plastic jack-o-lanterns. They last forever and look great and never spoil.

I don't know why I wasted my time with fresh pumpkins for so many years.

I felt a great disturbance in the sauce, as if millions of seeds suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly roasted.

All of those are spectacular.  Although, that annoying ad the kept obscuring the slideshow can kiss my ass!

I love to do the whole pumpkin carving thing.  I don't use the stencils.  I just grab a knife and go for it.  But I could never wrap my head around the whole scraping/sculpting the skin thing.  I'm really gonna have to give that a shot next year.  My son was asking about that a couple of days ago, and I had to confess that I'm just not that good.  Time to up my game!!

Real jack o lanterns are carved with a big-ass kitchen knife and nothing else.  Triangle eyes and a jagged mouth.

Wow. "Opposing Views" has sunk to the bottom of the barrel already? It was already clearly on its descent, but....

"25 Incredible Jack-O-Lanterns"
"25 Most Inappropriate Magazine Ads"
"25 Great Alternatives to Wedding Cakes"
"30 Creative Halloween Ads"
"10 Anti-Gay Politicians Caught Being Gay"
"20 Hottest Celebrity Selfies"
"15 Worst Marriage Proposals Ever"

It's Buzzfeed.

A number of those are works by Ray Villafane, who is a pumpkin carving god.

Don't forget about the banners over the images in the slideshow too. Amazing!

The Irresponsible Captain: All on one page.

Thanks for that.  I thought it was just my imagination that that site showed an annoyingly excessive amount of ads, but I guess I'm not the only one!
