Why do I always see old Indian women in airports? They're always in wheelchairs.

That is just a whole lotta special there.

Why would a ghost be afraid of a dead body?

"That old thing? Keep it. I never wear it anymore."

Umadevi (56), who died on December 3, 2012

Almost ELEVEN MONTHS? Holy shiatballs.

That's right. Of all the prostitute corpses in my freezer, I've never once had a ghost problem.

What's the difference between your mom and a dead body?

The dead body doesn't swallow.

A ghost that killed another family member eh?

I wonder how many murderers world-wide get along by simply using spookie stories and magicmatazz on those with poor/primative education.

I'm still waiting for a story out of India that's not gross.

Won't the body create another ghost?  Sounds like you need another body to get rid of the ghost that was caused by the body that got rid of the ghost.  We might have to do this several times, but hopefully the ghosts will freeze to death in the winter.

Do you want ghosts? Because THIS IS HOW WE GET GHOSTS.

Seems counterintuitive

Explains why there are no ghosts in the cemetery.

Well, the body's not an issue either.  You can just bring rats into the house to eat the corpse.  And then when the rats get out of control, you just need to get a few snakes.  Then once the snakes start taking over, bring home some gorillas to eat the snakes.  And then when winter comes the gorillas bash your skull in because they won't freeze to death some place in South India.

My first thought is that at least this isn't limited to the US (since we seem to spawn most of the stories).

Depends on how they died. Violent death = ghost, natural, not so much...

"Someone said that if there is dead body in the house, then the ghost will not come."

Whoa, hold on! Someone said that!? Damn! I've been looking for a way to get of this farking ghost. Where is the best place to find a hooker that nobody will miss?

Well, you could try inviting your mom over.

I feel for you, truly. I thought we were about a day or two from needing that for my dad back in March.

/don't blame you if you get plastered
//it's ridiculously hard for all that you're sitting around...

I can't imagine how bad a smell would have to be for someone in India to notice and complain.

Oddly enough, this is the most sober I've been in a while (not alcohol; I'm an MMJ patient). Too busy, too tense, and too many people in the house (NOT a complaint, we need the support desperately).

I don't know if I'm finding this hard, but I have a good gamut of experiences to compare to. The lack of sleep is annoying, but manageable. I think I'm gonna lose a lot of blood biting my tongue though, because there's a branch of the family that is TeaTarded, so trying not to pick a political fight while my grandma is dying. . . (Really, Granddad, you want to argue Obamacare while your wife is dying on hospice care paid for by the government???? *rolls eyes*)

Ask me again afterwards. Then I'll have a better perspective. :)

Yeah, even though my dad came out of his 'coma' ok in the long run (for now at least), it took me about a week to readjust to a life that didn't involve going to the cardiac intensive care unit every day.
