Guys, there's been a lot of joking around here, but let's get serious for a moment. Obamacare ruined my health insurance too. Now I have to pay $10,000 every time I go in for a physical, and I have to go to an alley in the bad part of town. After waiting three weeks before a physician will see me, I am only treated when I've sung all the words to The Internationale in a dog voice, and all medical procedures are performed personally by George Soros by the light of a hobo fire.

The worst part is that I have absolutely no recourse at all. I am locked into my current policy forever, with no way to obtain coverage through anything else, due to Obamacare outlawing everything but my "Stalincare" plan.

I hope this incontravertible truth eventually gets out.

Poor Mitt. Still butthurt after almost a year.

That would've been infinitely more awesome if the President had been standing behind the desk to shake Romney's hand.  Then the two of them could have sat down for a chat.

Not even a year later and it seems remarkable a relative mediocrity like Mitt Romney was the presidential nominee for American president.

Man, I thought this place was getting bad in the comments section, but then I check CNN's site for obamacare related stuff and...wow...its almost a chan.

I'm at the point where some people are astonishing me so much with their combination of derp and RIGHTEOUS (not really) INDIGNATION that I find myself wishing they get cancer in the ass, and have no health insurance.  I'm trying to think of a good way to put it, other than "I hope you get cancer in the ass and don't have insurance"
As for Mitt, I have to wonder what he'll do now.  I mean Palin was kinda held as radioactive crazy after she failed, but still pops up.  Mitt pops up but he just seems...defeated/sad.  Its almost sad to watch.

I think you are confused about what a deductible is. Maybe your thinking premium?

Nope- my insurance plan got f'd over.  Had a 300 deductible per family member- now I get to pay a full 900 per before insurance actually kicks in.

Funny part is- we'll probably not even meet the deductible unless we're lucky enough to ass end a school bus at 60 mph

if your plan was 300 deductible then the premium was through the roof or it didn't cover anything ,had no co-pays and no out of pocket cap. it may have even had a cap on what they'd pay.

I went to my doctor the other day and the nurse drew blood with a stick. A STICK. And it ran down my arm into a bedpan. She poured it into a trash sack and said "We will have results in 8 years. Then the doctor came in a punched me in the face. I walked out and got billed for $9,000! My next appointment is in 2045.

This, more than anything, has convinced me that Romney genuinely thought he couldn't lose.  It wasn't some PR "we can't lose" tagline and it wasn't something he was fronting, he genuinely believed that there was no way that he would not one day be president of the United States.  He's been told he can't have what he believes should be his.  That's new for him.

I just...I think about that sometimes and to me, it's profound.  Can you imagine that level of...I can't really put a word to it, ego or avarice, there's got to be a word for it.  You know what I mean though.  Wow.  Genuinely, wow.

My deductible is 1500, with a 20% copay. Same as it ever was. OTOH my monthly premium only went up $2 this year. It has never gone up that little. thanks obamacare

My premium went down 25 dollars per pay period (thanks to physicals provided by the wife and self), my deductible per family member went up 3x the original amount.  I saved on my premium though.  Wahoo.

Mormons don't really have a blanket prohibition on caffeine, it's more of a "no coffee" kind of thing. For example, Coca-Cola is fine.

Show of hands from everyone who's premiums and deductibles went up the usual little bit as opposed to remained the same but now the deductible went through the roof.

Having nearly free or subsidized insurance is still costly to the user.  I do not expect the visits to the ER to decrease anytime soon.

What the ACA has done is force the leeches who can afford medical insurance to either pay into the system by being penalized for refusing to get coverage or requiring them to get coverage (as they should).  A simple law requiring all Americans to get coverage and then determining at what point subsidizing was needed  would have sufficed.  Then do away with Medicaid/ medicare to cover the costs of the ACA.

Okay, I can be serious for a moment. As much as I hate agreeing with Rmoney, you have to admit that the ACA experience since Day One has been frustrating for many and embarrassing for the Obama Administration. I voted for Obama twice and want to see the ACA work (actually, I want single-payer, but am satisfied with progress), but this launch was extremely disappointing to me.

I can only thank Ted Cruz (which also makes the bile rise in my throat) for being such an immense douchebag during the budget stalemate. If the GOP had compromised prior to Oct. 1 and kept the government open, the media would've been all over the bungled ACA launch sooner and the GOP would've scored major points with the general public. Then, the GOP would've been able to wreak serious havoc with our budget through debt ceiling negotiations and would've farked up the country for a lot longer. So, thanks for being such a douchebag, Senator Cruz!

I would call it a national struggle against the constant, over-powering greed of corporate America and the shareholders it must appease. A struggle that tries to help those who cannot put food on the table or save a dollar for a rainy day because everywhere they turn someone is trying to take more money from them than they did yesterday.

And Romney represents those greedy bastards. He should keep his mouth shut and count his money.
