Minnesota's not bad if you can tolerate the winters.

He also lived in Menominee, Wisconsin, and not Minnesota. It is about an hour or so away from the border though.

Not sure why anyone would think he'd leave his current home.  If you look at his Facebook or twitter feed he seems to be on the road about 80% of the time so a few weeks in New York per year isn't going to change much as far as his time at home goes.

My nephew graduated from Bard several years ago.  Robert Redford was the keynote speaker.  Beautiful campus and nice little town...

Menomonie is still in Wisconsin, thank you. If they secede to Minnesota they have to leave UW Stout behind.

His former wife (deceased) was from there.  I read in an interview that he wanted to keep the family in a stable environment after her death.

As a wisconsinite formerly from upstate NY, I am envious of his move though.  That is lovely country around Bard.  The people aren't as open as around here, but they're not as obnoxious as NYC folk.

Did his ex wife just recently die? I know that he got divorced from her a few years ago. I just know he started to open up and be more social when he married Amanda Palmer.

Besides, have you seen pictures of his house? I could see him having a second (or 3rd or 4th) house, but no way he lets that thing out of his hands. I think that house may even have part of his soul in it.

Yeah, he's been living in Cambridge, MA for the past year or so but he's not home all that much there either. Dude travels a lot.
