FTFA: And Third, the Japanese dismiss the concept of monotheism and faith in an abstract god,  because their world concept is apparently connected to the material, not to faith and emotions. It seems that they group Judaism together with Islam. Christianity exists in Japan and is not regarded negatively, apparently because the image of Jesus perceived in Japan is like the images of Buddha and Shinto.

Your blog sucks.

Wow. Dude is really racking up the racial stereotypes in this article. You could pretty much count them off. Is everyone a Shogun too?

UNPOSSIBLE!!

...unless promoting ethnic purity is racist...

"Japan is teaching the whole world an interesting lesson: there is a direct correlation between national heritage and permission to immigrate: a people that has a solid and clear national heritage and identity will not allow the unemployed of the world to enter its country; and a people whose cultural heritage and national identity is weak and fragile, has no defense mechanisms to prevent a foreign culture from penetrating into its country and its land."

Bullshiat. This is the same country that refused to acknowledge that the Ainu existed until less than a decade ago.

Heck, I watched a documentary on sumo a while back. That's how I know that the sumo regulatory authority began banning non-Japanese wrestlers because they were doing too well.

Just because someone is polite doesn't mean that they like you.

"The Japanese approach to Muslims is also evidenced by the numbers: in Japan there are 127 million residents, but only ten thousand Muslims, less than one hundredth of a percent. "

In 2000 there were about 150,000 Muslims in Japan. I suspect that number is larger today.

To contrast, there are only about 35,000 muslims in Brazil, a country that has almost twice the population of Japan.

Sigh.

Yes, the article was full of stereotypes, but the portion you quoted didn't contain any. It held a glaring mistake, but no stereotypes.
Was that deliberate, or did you copypasta the wrong line?

2013-10-30 10:28:44 AM
Did anybody look at the date on the article? Published May 19, Last Update May 20

This came out a few months ago when the big thing going around the FWD:FWD:FWD emails and the white power net was that Japan bans Muslims and the Islamic religion, which is kind of funny since Japan constitution guarantees religious freedom and there are at least a hundred permanent Mosque around the country.

Uh what was your first clue? Perhaps this sentence in the first paragraph?

France, Germany, Belgium and Holland are interesting examples of cases where immigration from Muslim countries, together with the Muslims' high fertility rate, effects every area of life.

High fertility rate? Wow...just wow. I've always said that the hate between arab and jewish people is definitely a two-way street, but this sentence just shows how deep it goes when one side considers the other akin to cattle. (sure it goes both ways, so dont go all tatsuma on me)

To be fair, Hideyoshi considered The Jesuits to be a serious threat to national stability after unifying the country, especially after hearing about the "exploits" of the Catholic Church overseas, so there was a preliminary crackdown that lasted until the 19th century.

But yeah, nowadays most Japanese are all "meh" at Christianity. Good ideas, but still rather foreign and regarded with suspicion.

Probably referring to the act mentioned in this article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7437244.stm

"On Friday they will have something to celebrate.  Japan's parliament is to adopt a resolution that, for the first time, formally recognises the Ainu as "an indigenous people with a distinct language, religion and culture""
(article dated Friday, 6 June 2008)

Though, I'm not at all well-versed in the issue -- this was just 30 seconds of Google-fu.
