Doesn't he have some friend to shoot in the face? Then make the friend apologize to him.

Maybe he's run out of friends.

fusillade762: cchris_39: The reading comprehension around here is somewhere between Creationist Peter and Feral Peter.

Please enlighten us, o wise one: which part of this quote are we misinterpreting?

"What we gain and my concern was then and it remains today is that the biggest threat we face is the possibility of terrorist groups like al Qaeda equipped with weapons of mass destruction, with nukes, bugs or gas. That was the threat after 9/11 and when we took down Saddam Hussein we eliminated Iraq as a potential source of that."

I read it more as Michael Corleone saying he has eliminated you as a threat. Just seems to be a better contextual fit.

Iraq was never a threat to the US,  Al Qaeda was never in Iraq until we invaded!
Cheney was divvying up Iraq with the oil companies in secret meetings but yeah, it was all about WMD!

His employee, also know as the Prime minister of Canada(Stephen Harper) protected his ass at the taxpayers expensive, while ignoring International law and the warrants out for jr and Cheney.

I joined the Army two days after the 9/11 attacks. I joined the Army because our country had been attacked. I wanted to strike back at those who had killed some 3,000 of my fellow citizens. I did not join the Army to go to Iraq, a country that had no part in the September 2001 attacks and did not pose a threat to its neighbors, much less to the United States. I did not join the Army to "liberate" Iraqis or to shut down mythical weapons-of-mass-destruction facilities or to implant what you cynically called "democracy" in Baghdad and the Middle East. I did not join the Army to rebuild Iraq, which at the time you told us could be paid for by Iraq's oil revenues. Instead, this war has cost the United States over $3 trillion. I especially did not join the Army to carry out pre-emptive war. Pre-emptive war is illegal under international law. And as a soldier in Iraq I was, I now know, abetting your idiocy and your crimes. The Iraq War is the largest strategic blunder in U.S. history. It obliterated the balance of power in the Middle East. It installed a corrupt and brutal pro-Iranian government in Baghdad, one cemented in power through the use of torture, death squads and terror. And it has left Iran as the dominant force in the region. On every level-moral, strategic, military and economic-Iraq was a failure. And it was you, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney, who started this war. It is you who should pay the consequences.

Also can't forget that Bush jr made his daddy so happy once he caught and hung that former CIA operative Saddam Hussein. Daddy failed to catch him, while he was defending that oil nation from loss of profits.

/Mubarak may become Dictator again too, as Israel did not like the new guy who was properly elected by the people of Egypt

To be fair, there were a handful of Al Qaeda affiliated groups in Iraq before the invasion - hiding up in the mountains, because if they'd shown their face in public Saddam Hussein would've killed them.

But according to wingnuts, trying to bring universal access to health care in the US is a thousand times more evil than this. ^

What was the US debt before invading a sovereign nation that didn't threaten the US? Five trillion or so?  Total cost $800 million per year, thousands of Americans killed, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed to prevent..what? A scud being launched against Isreal?  Post-traumatic stress disorder for the survivors. A local populace that wants us gone, which will create a theocratic shiate vacuum instead on f the secular Sunni regime Saddam had in place.

We got nothing out of the second Iraq war but killing people, including the Iraqi civilians we were ostensibly liberating.  Leaving Saddam was the best thing we could've done to Iraq.  The fight against al Qaeda was in Afghanistan. Unwinnable Afghanistan.

I was a freshman in high school when the invasion of Iraq happened. To date, three people I know are dead because of it - 2 killed in action, 1 killed by suicide.

Cheney should be damned grateful he has lifetime secret service protection because someone (not me, I don't condone violence against public officials) will be constantly planning to take a shot at him.

Yeah, that government was "teh ebil" in the context of the cold war. But at least communists have this thing with universal free education, healthcare and building lots of infrastructure. And they don't differentiate between boys or girls.

Whatever came after the Soviet Union leaving has just been pure shiat for Afghanistan.

That's like saying Germany has had some poor leaders, discounting the ones who murdered an entire race.

Oh and if you don't think it's true:

Senior U.S. officials ordered the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to investigate Blix to gather "sufficient ammunition to undermine" him so that the U.S. could start the invasion of Iraq. The U.S. officials were upset that the CIA did not uncover such information.[9] [10]

I'm sure that's gotta stick in their craws every time they see Bill dedicating a new hospital wing in Paris or Jimmy building houses and curing diseases in Africa.

(i wish the cartoonish afterlife hell these men claim to believe in actually existed)
