If Rick Santorum's wife had been in a state that banned all drug induced abortions, she'd be dead right now.

Ok, she'd have been flown to a different state and had her life saved that way, but still.

I don't care what you call her choice.  Call it abortion, call it miscarriage, call it whatever.  She had to make a tough and horrible decision that no expecting mother should have to make, but life is not fair or easy.  She ended a complicated pregnancy by choosing to take a drug that caused her pregnancy to end.

She and her husband are advocates for taking away that choice from other women.

Lamest troll account evar.

Well, for now.

Again, why is it whenever anyone has a different point of view than our Fark Progressives, that person is a troll?

THAT is the lamest cop-out ever.

"eeww - that guys a troll!  He said he doesn't like Obama!  He said abortion is baaaddd!"

WHATEVA

It's because you're transparently posting as a negative attention seeking mechanism. Like when my dog tries to dig a hole in the rug because he feels ignored or when a toddler paints shiat on the wall. It's nothing to do with the content or point of view.

Glad I could help.

Wow - thanks for telling me what I was thinking. I was confused for a minute.

Any who - I stand by my statement. The abortion culture celebrates (see comment above: "Yea!") what I feel is murder.

I am Pro Life. I know that's a wildly unpopular stance here on Fark.

To what extent?

No abortions ever? Fits trimester? First week? In cases of rape or incest? What if the mother's life is seriously at risk (ectopic pregnancy)? Some Farkers are quite reasonable. But extremists (i.e. no abortions for anyone ever) are always going to be scrutinized... whether or not it's Fark.

"In answering questions posed by the U.S. Supreme Court, the court ruled that the law 'restricts the long-respected medical discretion of physicians' ..."

and

"On Monday, a federal judge ruled Texas' new abortion restrictions unconstitutional on the grounds that the regulations violated physicians' right to do what they think is best for patients ..."

So if a physician in his discretion decides that a prescription for medical marijuana is best for his patient, then will laws restricting that patient's access to marijuana also be struck down as unconstitutional? Same argument, same logic.

But that's not what you said.  You said people who are pro-choice are celebrating murder.  I mean....it's less than a 40 post thread, it's not like you should be confused at this point at how you conducted yourself in it.

Chigroe Please: Don't know what all of this is about, but as a life long Texan, do you know why the wind blows in Texas?

No, no. It's, "do you know why it's so windy in Oklahoma?"
Cause Kansas blows and Texas sucks.

NightOwl2255: lockers: This will not stop the legislature for crafting a new bill trying to accomplish the same thing that will be thrown out yet again.

100% this!

After all, we are the state that passed the anti-sharia law bill that even the proponents admitted was unconstitutional. And it was thrown out.

The state legislature only puts these sort of evocative measures on the ballot to ensure that the hyper-militant "conservative Christian" types turn out to vote.  While they're there in the voting booth, the Fundies also put a check mark next to the names of the Republican candidates running for office.

Convenient, ain't it?
