Good going there. Now your employer knows about your nude photos and your students know about your nude photos.

Oh yeah, and now your employer knows about your connection to people in prison and will probably think it's not a good idea to have you around school children.

If you had only paid the extortion money, nobody would have known about your nude photos.

The nude pictures thing is "Meh" but this:

"Currington also mentioned the woman's cat, which had gone missing on Aug. 4, cops said. The report didn't make clear what happened to the feline, but Currington allegedly said in an email to the woman that if she hurried to pay $430, Currington might know where the cat could be found."

There is no death painful enough for this biatch.

Maybe it is just me, but I think a lot of couples have nude photos. If someone gets uptight about pics that are private and have never been publicly disseminated, they have more issues than the person with the pics, methinks. Of course, these pics surely made the rounds among the guards at the jail. And why the fark is the roommate trying to blackmail you? I would love to know what started that feud.

/maybe she had to take the pics...

Fark that. Perhaps seeing naked people is not your personal cup of tea, but for the rest of us, it's something we want to encourage, not discourage. People taking nude pics for their significant others should feel safe and free to do so without worry, because then there will be more nude pics. Accordingly, people who distribute others' nude pics - or asexual douchebags who condone such behavior by saying that people shouldn't take them unless they want them distributed - should be publicly shunned.

No, no, no....I personally have no problem looking at people's naked pictures of themselves (females anyway, don't really care to see other guys junk unless it is involved with said female, just don't swing that way).  If somebody is dumb enough to take naked selfies or let somebody else take naked pictures of them, I'm not going to actively seek them out, but I'm also not going avoid them if given the chance to view.  I'm just saying, that if you don't want me (or others not of your choosing) to see them, you're better off just not taking them.

And you're blaming the victim. The pictures don't magically appear online on their own. Someone posts them, someone who you conveniently forget to mention while waggling your finger at the person who had their pictures stolen with your condescending "advice". Instead of "don't take naked selfies," how about "don't post other people's pictures without their permission"?

Depends on if it was addressed to her. When she mailed it, it may not have had a proper (named) return address, merely the physical address, in which case that's what it would have been returned to. No name, no crime.

Aside: She also had an "auto negligence" civil charge placed against her in St Lucie County back in August; maybe that's what she need the money for.

Since that's already understood, and simply ignored, yeah, I'mma go with "don't take nudes of yourself". Kinda like "don't kill people or steal their stuff" yet we still advise people "don't go to [x], especially at night" and "lock your doors".

No doubt it's a farked up position to be in to have some asshole steal or otherwise obtain your naked pictures of yourself.  But once you have sent those pictures out to somebody else, be it physically or electronically, you lose all control of how they are used.  Again, it IS a shiatty deal, but it is also reality.  Best way to protect against that is to NOT take the pictures.  Even keeping them under lock and key is a dicey proposition, as they still exist, along with the chance that somebody with less than honorable intentions can obtain them.  As with pregnancy and STD's, abstinence is the ONLY 100% effective prevention method.

You just contradicted yourself. First you say people should feel free to take nude pics so there will be more nude pics in the world, then you say people shouldn't distribute others nude pics. How am I ever going to see them if they're not distributed?

Some of the best porn I've ever seen is amateur stuff where the woman is at ease and having natural orgasms because she's not putting on a performance and doesn't expect anyone besides her significant other to ever see it. I sure hope those continue to be uploaded, and applaud the men who do so.
