I actually don't know why Sunday's episode is pissing people off. I thought it was fairly well done, especially the last 10-15 minutes

/admit it, you were thinking creepy Quinn in the bushes was gonna ask for a booty call

We've been waiting for Claire Danes to show her goods on the show and that is the closest we have ever been.

My personal favorite exchange in the whole movie (courtesy of IMDB's quote page):

Inigo Montoya: Offer me money.
Count Rugen: Yes!
Inigo Montoya: Power, too, promise me that.
[He slashes his other cheek]
Count Rugen: All that I have and more. Please...
Inigo Montoya: Offer me anything I ask for.
Count Rugen: Anything you want...
[Rugen knocks Inigo's sword aside and lunges. But Inigo traps his arm and aims his sword at Rugen's stomach]
Inigo Montoya: I want my father back, you son of a biatch!
[He runs Count Rugen through and shoves him back against the table. Rugen falls to the floor, dead]

I have not seen any of his recent work (dammit), and I assume this is a reference to it, but if not, there used to be a video of the Spaniard and his cool train layout in his house - maybe he was getting ideas or train hopping for fun...

I read somewhere that Mandy had just lost his father (in real life).  So when he says, "I want my father back..." the emotion that's there and the choke in his voice is real.

I think they're done with references for now. They name-dropped both Inigo's line and Romeo & Juliet recently, which is probably more than enough for a "serious" show.

That's debatable, Wesley pretty much says that whoever is the current DPR is just living off the legend of the original DPR.   The fact that he never "dies" just perpetuates that myth.

I knew I was in for a rough ride when clips from Dana's story lead the "previously on Homeland..." opening,

one of the most frustrating things about the current season of Homeland is that's it's technically not bad; it's certainly not Dexter Season 8 levels of nonsensical... but it's all so farking boring. It plays out like a book whose plot  ended 300 pages ago, yet it's still going on.

When you consider getting to the airport, checking in, going through security, blah blah blah, there is a radius around NYC where I would prefer to take the train. It is somewhere between Philly and Pburgh. New Haven I guess?
