Methinks he didn't know he was on at that moment.

CSB: The headphone jack on the elliptical I was using at my gym is not fully functioning. What resulted was I could hear the background sounds and field mics from the game, but none of the jabber jabber of the announcers.

I will go to that elliptical every time and twice on Sundays from now on!

I would pay extra for a game feed with no announcers. Just crowd/field noise and a few stat graphics.

1. Why is this an article?

So a local affiliate suffered some type of minor IFB problem and this is big news?

So to Trollspin a technical glitch is news worthy?  What next, an article because a website failed to load.

You can often accomplish this for free by muting the center channel of 5.1 during a broadcast

I can relate. I'm at a loss for words every time I watch baseball, too - but that's because I'm asleep.

/zzzzball
//"I never realized how boring this game is" - Homer, while watching baseball completely sober.

Better dead air than the "sonofabiatch" at the end of the Cowboys game.

How else are they going to squeeze seven games out of this?

Exactly it's rigged. Boston in 7.

You should have heard Sebastian Vollmer in yesterday's New England Patriots/ Miami Dolphins game.  The microphone was right there when his ankle was rolled up on from behind.
It was something like this:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA A AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
(breath)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA A AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
(breath)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA A AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Thankfully he's German, so any curse word he yelled wouldn't have been in English.
They shut off the audio after 5 or 6 screams.

If thats the case, baseball is awful at rigging the World Series to go 7 games. This is the 109th World Series and there have only been 36 game 7s.

Heck, the 2011 WS was the first to go to 7 games since '02. You'd think that since the Yankees and Red Sox were in it more than a few times that baseball would have really wanted to rig it.

And really, wouldn't have '04 been the perfect series to rig? You have the Sox, finally slaying the Yankees, versus the Cardinals and their passionate fan base. And yet, sweep.

Remember when baseball rigged the 2001 world series? Just what new York needed to heal after the tragedy of 9/11

Easy, tiger. I'll try to make the sarcasm a little more obvious. I highly doubt that two entire teams, coaching staff, and TV execs could agree on anything, let alone conspire to lengthen a series. I am not a baseball truther. 9/11 was planned however.

The 2013 Cardinals could have Musial, Gibson, Sutter, Brock and Pujols all at their prime on this team and they'll still lose to Boston.

/We get it: Boston is strong

So it will be bottom of the 9th. Pop fly to Napoli. He will be about to catch it when Ortiz runs out and hits him with a steel chair. Then Bud Selig will go on the jumbo tron and say they are forming a new era of baseball. A New World Order. Then Carlos Beltran will hit Matheny with a low blow and take off his jersey, revealing a nWo shirt

We've had just about enough posturing over the federal healthcare signup glitches for the day, thanks all the same.

That was funny, but clearly they didn't know they were on air.

My awkward live TV moment from the weekend was from the Cowboys Lions game before the end of the 1st half. It was a Dez Bryant touchdown, and for some inexplicable reason it kept looping the same 5 seconds over and over -- for about 5 minutes. I couldn't turn it off, the picture and sound quality was gradually deteriorating until eventually they went to the live game, and only 30 seconds of actual game time had elapsed. Very surreal.
