Honorary degrees confuse me. I went to college for 8 years to get my degree, then on graduation day they just gave it to some guy I'd never heard of, for no reason.

I love "Allison", but I've instantly hated every other song by this guy that I tried to listen to. Also, Declan McManus is a way cooler name than what he goes by.

It's a shame he stopped making albums after "All This Useless Beauty".

They mean nothing.  It is just a way to either get publicity for the school, get a fat check from the receiver, or both.  Excepting Benjamin Franklin, recipients don't even use Dr. or PhD.  Just think of it as the Participation trophy for the retarded kid (which it is)

I don't think his talk show ("Spectacle") lasted very long, but I enjoyed it when I was able to catch it. There is probably some aspect of music that he doesn't know better than 90% of the planet, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what it is.
