I'm sorry, we really don't know who you are.

2013-10-27 08:56:33 AM
Never heard of her

2013-10-27 09:15:20 AM
She grew up on a "reality" TV show, one of her sisters is getting a divorce from a drug abusing sports star...one of her sisters has had a sex tape leaked, has been divorced a couple times now, and is now dating a famous hip-hip artist, and she's got one of the most recognizable faces in media...another has had a child out of wedlock, and is still not married...Add to all this she is dating a boy that has two very famous parents...
She comes from a talentless family, and other than Bruce who was an Olympian, they have not really contributed to society in any meaningful way.  The family is famous for being famous, and that's it.  So I applaud them for making the money they are making in doing all this, but the human wreckage/cost of all this "fame" is destroying this family.

So yeah, I can see why this girl, and her sister will end up in rehab in 5 years after 3 separate sex tapes are "leaked."

Yes we know you are 16, more importantly so does the state. Your business isn't worth the loss of our liquor license.

I don't know who this is or what a 'reality star' is, either. If she's 16, she can't have booze.

Or, OR, this is all staged PR bullsh*t concocted by uber-manager Momma K to drum up publicity for their brand? How many famous 16 year old kids walk into a major venue and demand liquor service and get away with it without drawing attention?

2013-10-27 11:58:22 AM
I should totally go apeshiat with a "Do you know who I am?" sometime. Of course, being a scary big and bearded white male of drinking age I don't get denied anything.

Do those marginal celebrities not realize how much of a double-edged sword that question is?  They say it rhetorically, but it opens up a whole range of responses.  And any good concierge or doorman in LA, Vegas, or NY should have them prepped and ready.

Valid answers include
"No."
"I'm sorry, I didn't recognize you at first; your plastic surgeon did a terrible job/you've gained a lot of weight."
"Yes, but I don't care."
"Yes, that's why I'm kicking you out. We don't need your kind of publicity."

To quote Hollywood old-schooler AC Lyles (RIP), there are stars and there are people who do reality TV, but there is no such thing as a "reality star"

Back in the day, Claire Danes was dating a musician, and he was playing at the Iron Horse. She was at the bar, and got offended when we wouldn't serve her. She was "with" the band, and apparently, being underage, in a club, with a hit TV show, she never all connected with her. It was the same year, a bunch of Congresscritters were shopping their daughters around the Valley looking at two of the Seven Sisters, and likewise, they got offended when restaurants wouldn't serve their precious darlings wine with lunch or dinner. Gee, even if we did want to serve you, with reporters hanging around looking for any sort of story, you think it might be noticed if the daughter you're taking on college tours imbibed?

What y'all do at home, or in private, I don't give a rat's butt about. When you throw a fit because you want us to risk our liquor license, that's a whole 'nother matter. Heck, a joint I worked at a few years ago, their bar manager got offended when she and her beau got booted for sneaking in a flask into a show at The Calvin. She managed her own bar, and got offended that the staff did exactly what she would have done if she'd found a pair of giggling patrons taking snorts off a flask in the corner of the room. Then again, she didn't really like the owner of venue, so in her mind, I guess it was OK. The level of disconnect in some folks is just staggering...

Dial down the money and fame and their story is funnier.

...one of her sisters is getting a divorce from a drug addicted basketball player...one of her sisters had a sex tape put online by a guy she used to screw and is now engaged to a rapper, whom she just had a baby with, out of wedlock...another already has 2 children out of wedlock and still isn't married to the father of the children...add to all this, she is dating a guy whose dad used to be a rapper. Her dad used to be an athlete, and her mom loves to stir up shiat just to get attention.

Set this in a trailer park, or lower middle class, or upper lower class environment, and you have yourself the basis for one hell of a sitcom.

I think some states allow that (if you're with your parents) or they at least used to. So that might be why they were offended (seeing as it was Congresscritters though, that's probably not the reason).
