I would have guessed that you would do it on the stovetop with some garlic and parsley.

How large is this "need" you speak of?

In Barcelona they serve this dish made of baby cuttlefish sauteed in their ink.  There's all these tiny little adorable cuttlefish looking at you with these giant eyes.  I mean small.  Like shorter than a fingernail.  And they are delicious.

I just clicked the link, and yeah, you have the right idea.  I'd look into how you get them to dump their ink at the right time.

I'd incubate them at 350 for 25 min with some olive oil and pepper.

That enough cuttlefish to, what, meet an adult whale's caloric needs for five minutes?

Is that kosher? I mean, on the grounds of being like mixing milk with meat.

Well, I just Googled and read about how a rabbi ordered cuttlefish in Italy without knowing what it was and then decided they were shellfish. But that doesn't entirely make sense because they don't have external shells, do they? They're very strange creatures.

Do you have information on the subject of this rabbi having drunk copious amounts of alcoholic beverages prior to this? They're quite similar in look to calamari, just shorter tentacles and a larger mantle. They've even actually got an internal bone in the mantle called a "cuttlebone". Granted it's kind of confusing since it's referred to as an "internal shell", but internal is internal.

Cuttlefish seem to be related to creatures that have external shells, and anyway the rabbi decided when he saw the dish that it was squid, which is not kosher.
