I was gonna go with a variation of the Tiger "What do you call 150 white guys chasing a black guy joke" but you have it covered.

Also - fark you Subby.

2013-10-26 09:18:53 PM
A black guy won a NASCAR race before 1907?  Damn!

2013-10-26 09:21:22 PM
What was that? The announcer said the said the winner is near?

What kind of odds could you have gotten in Vegas 25 years ago on a bet that black men would win the Masters, the Oval Office and a NASCAR race before the Cubs won another World Series?

The man who made that bet would be here to tell you, but he's off in Aruba this week and has grown weary of talking and interacting with the "little people".

Subby apparently forgot about Wendell Scott.

/also known as probably the only serious role Richard Pryor ever tackle

There has been speculation about 4 prior presidents of having African American lineage.  Offhand, I can remember that Lincoln was one.  There's a book about it and I have it somewhere.  I really don't consider Obama to be black man, Wesley Snipes is a black man.

It was a hell of a win for Bubba. It was his first win, at Martinsville, and he dominated. By the end, there was simply no way any other truck could catch him.

I've been watching him all season, and I just had a feeling that he would win before the season ended. He's one of those guys who looks like he'll be around for quite a while.

Ty Dillon, on the other hand, definitely made some enemies with his stupidity today.

Stupid headline. Congrats to the black guy cuz that should b the main focus of sports.

It's odd that NASCAR actually lost diversity over the years. Like in the early years there was a pretty good population of female drivers.

Watching him crying on Speed, and listening to his emotion on MRN, brought back these lyrics...

Bubba shot the juke box last night
Said it played a sad song it made him cry

Headline makes no sense: Cubs won the World Series in 1908, way before NASCAR existed.

Somebody didn't read the 1st sentence of the article.

I liked that movie.  I saw that not only as Wendell Scott's story, but of a time when drivers could work hard enough to get in on their own.  Now, drivers pretty much have to be sponsored since they were little children.  All the new up and comings have been go-cart drivers at 8 yro, then just keep shining as they grow up, or they are hand picked to make the sport look like it is changing.  Chances are, if your parents didn't have the money or connections in serious go-cart racing, you will only be watching the race.  Even the pit crews have gotten to the point the tire carrier has secondary education at a special school.

Where all the cars are restricted and the turns are easier.

Because One-drop rule, that's why.

White society invented that convention, don't blame Obama for it.

You don't get to have your cake and eat it too.

Because thousands of African-Americans voted for him because "He looks like me."  And Thousands of tea baggers voted against him "'Cause he's black."
