Stupid, the beer was super cold to begin with. As a Canadian, this has happened to me when I've left my case of beer outside for too long.

I'm going to try this in a couple months here in Northern Alberta.

Exactly. It's like if you put a bottle of soda in the freezer. It'll stay liquid, but the second you open it and agitate it even a little bit it'll turn into ice within seconds.

Once, earlier this summer I cracked open a bottle of Molson and spat out my first sip thinking there was something in it. Turns out some genius decided to put it in the freezer before transferring to the cooler.

The mini fridge in my shop does that if I don't tweak the temp on it just right. It's a really weird thing to happen when drinking as it turns to slush in your mouth and throat exactly like in the vid.

If you leave your beer in the cold too long, make sure you warm up the neck before opening it.

And be sure to use a condom.

Ho-hum... anyone that lives north of the hard freeze line has seen this happen.

Super cooled liquid.

If the beer actually froze that fast just by taking it outside his hand would have already been toast.

I can do that with any beer in my fridge, all I have to do is transfer it to my freezer. It works at room temp, really for any liquid under pressure.

This is actually not normal. He has the bottle already just under freezing temp, but because it is under pressure it hasn't frozen yet. Unpressurising it causes it to freeze. People have been making soda slushies using this trick for a while now.

Was that 330 mL beer sealed with some kind of cork?

Same thing could happen in August.. in Arizona... smack bottom on table and it will freeze even faster.
