Why does that article exist? I'm not rewarding that with a click unless there's something more important in the story that someone mentions.

It's his ticket and he could take the money in cash and burn it in the town square if he so desired.  Of course he would probably been fined by the town for burning material in public.

What does she need all than money for?  She's a woman.

a lawyer for the hardwood flooring installer turned multi-millionaire argued Friday at the civil trial where she's seeking $8 million.

For what hardwood flooring installer? WTF am I reading? Who wrote this mess?

Or arrested if it's a pile of kerosene soaked Korans in the back of a pickup truck...

I can assure you that your personal click does not matter in the grand scheme of things.

Oh it matters. That writer is getting canned, and the boss will say "if only you got one more page view." It's tragic but I can't support that.

Why does she think she has a right to a single cent? I'd be happy with a free $25k right now.

Well when you put it like that I can't really disagree with you. Now I regret my own click...

Is it just me, or is that the worst written article ever? I couldn't get a clear picture of what the hell happened.

Maybe it doesn't sound like much, but $25,000 will buy you a lot of cats, crazy cat lady.

It's worth reading if only to see if you can wade through an article that can only have been written by a word blender and comprehend what happened.

We need to save it from Sun News Network.

Local paper, local article, local idioms, local sentence structure. It is canada. It could have been translated from the French. God knows, we love the French grammar structure.

According to the fundy pundits a woman's job is to marry a man with money. I suggest a brother or two.

That said, I'd be ticked off if a sister gave half a million to our two sisters and only $25k to me: that's discrimination on the basis of sex and just plain inequitable. If there was $1025000.00 to divide each should have gotten $341666.666666667.

Money tears families apart. I've seen it with my own family. This is not newsworthy.

I think I found the reason the sister didn't get as much as the brothers.

It's not a Canadian thing, it's a Sun thing.  It's our source of right-wing screeds for the masses.  The front page story is usually last night's hockey game rather than real news (I realise that borders on blasphemy in Canada, but the Sens don't warrant the front page, dammit!)

It folds like a magazine rather than a proper paper.  I've decided that's a sign that it's not a worthwhile publication (and I said as much to the woman who called trying to sell it to me).

How about discrimination on the basis of hatin' your guts because you refused to join in on a tea party and glittery-dance gala when you were kids?  Equality is not a legal requirement of what people do with their own cash.  :-). Now if she actually did contribute to the ticket, and  anyone backs her up on that...different matter altogether.

Judgement for the Sister...for $1

/anytime someone in court says "It's not about the money", the court should award them one dollar max judgement

So it's a right wing publication that runs sports on the front page but the fact that it's a tabloid format is what keeps you from subscribing? Your priorities are all farked up

It's not Canadianese, it's just Sun News. They have all the journalistic integrity of the comments sections of Youtube, Yahoo, and Fox Nation rolled into one.

Holidays must be fun in that family;
Weighing each plate at Thanksgiving to make sure nobody got more Turkey than she did.
Counting each piece of candy when Trick or Treating, and heaven forbid a brother gets a full sized candy bar.
After they open their Christmas gifts, she probably totals up the receipts to make sure her brother's gifts didn't cost more than hers.

After he didn't give her a bunch of money she "found" a paper in her wallet that had the winning numbers written on it and "remembered" that that was the ticket her brother said he'd buy with her.  Her husband remembers the conversation.

I hope she wins, because I'm pretty sure that I had a conversation with her before the drawing where I gave her ten bucks in exchange for 90 percent of what she would get from that ticket... I think I wrote that down and put it in my wallet... Oh! I'll bet my wife will remember that she heard us make the agreement and will testify to that in court!  (seven sweet millions...)
