And any time the source is MNN, the article is one thing you can be absolutely be sure is not in any way actually happening.

Conspiracy theory site =/= news.

//Also, maintaining concentrations of a metal ion in a water supply system made of metal likely wouldn't work anyhow.  I mean, Lithium's at the far anodic end of the series but that can still be somewhat problematic.
//And Li+ in itself isn't really a very good drug for what TFA's claiming they're wanting to treat, plenty of organics that would work much better.

2013-10-26 06:43:35 AM
Oh great.

It won't do any good for those of us, like the rest of my family, that have very bad reactions to lithium.

Actually it might be interesting to see who else out there has a similar reaction to it...

Let's do it! For science!

They are thinking too small. What they should do is dump a ton of it into a volcano, say in Borneo, and trigger an eruption that spreads it all over the world. What could go wrong?

I never really bought into the whole "Fluoride is bad for you" deal until I found out that fluoride is used as an insecticide in other countries, and the fluoride put into our water supplies is created via the waste products of metal manufacturing/fertilizer industry; not some sterile "clean" "Crest-Brand" Fluoride, or "especially formulated for use in water supplies ONLY"- Fluoride.

I also realized that I've had a mouthful of cavities my entire life, despite drinking fluoridated water and brushing my teeth and using mouthwash.  So, clearly fluoridated water is worthless.

However, I will say that using Flouride toothpaste/rinse is fine, and logical.  But taking it internally, even in small doses, makes no sense, given how caustic it is to just about every living thing.  Even if you swallow a little bit of toothpaste it says clearly on the tube to call poison control.

I'd say the western diet, specifically the US diet is more to blame for cavities than anything else.  We eat and drink crap.  No wonder our teeth rot out.

Yeah "to prevent suicide",   that's what it's for.

2013-10-26 07:45:15 AM
About eight years ago personality issues were making my company unbearable.  The first thing I did was add extra chlorine to the tap water and then provide a water cooler.  At first I added an SSRI and MDMA to the water cooler to even out personality issues and to act as a mild stimulant.  About five years ago I also added a mild opioid so I wouldn't have to listen to the complaints about aches and pains.  This had an added effect of addiction and my employees wanted to come to work.

I didn't expect to see this on Fark, so I'm assuming you're trolling by pretending to be an anti-fluoride crank.
You do realize that they also put chlorine in the water, and that shiat is utterly deadly even in swimming-pool chemical state?
You do realize that your arguments are almost identical to those used by the anti-vax crowd, right?
