Troy & Sons for corn liquor, Corsair for rye.The fact that the Corsair distillery is on my way home from work is a constantly lurking danger.

MrBallou:  George Dickel is the one you want for sipping.

 ----SSSHHHHH!!! Best kept secret ever!

Meanwhile, I dunno what JD is thinking, I guess they're relying on a mostly blind person to choose the wrong bottle.
Or should I assume that
EVERYONE IS FARKING ILLITERATE AND CAN'T TELL THE OBVIOUS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE BOTTLES?

bhcompy: No, because Tennessee whiskey sucks.

I had a security "indecent" at my work recently, and the company we hired (they are out of Denver) for the response came in and gave me a response kit which included a fifth of Stranahans, along with some pain killers, tums, coffee, and some other goodies which are necessary when you have an outbreak of malware on your network. That there is some damn good whiskey. It's a shame that they don't sell it outside of Colorado.

You have good taste.

I didn't like the rye, but their bourbon is my shelf brand.  I found the rye to have an unpleasant burn, but that is just me.  So many amazing things to try, only so much time.

MrBallou: Speaking of bourbon, I had some Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve 9 Year last night. It's 120 proof. Delicious but, oddly enough, I found it dried my mouth out like crazy.

So does Bacardi 151 and any high test booze

Thank you, as do you now!  I'm also not in Colorado, but I travel there semi-often and buy a few bottles.  They have a special whiskey they call Snowflake about twice a year that I want to get my hands on, but it's basically impossible to get unless you go to the distillery the morning of the announcement.  It's usually 6 or less barrels worth of the best flavored whiskey they have at the time they decide to do it.

cptjeff:  Seriously, Evan is a 6 year blend these days, Jack is a 4 year blend. Jack costs $20 or so, Evan $12 or so. Why on earth do people

People are dumb and easily led, that's why.
