Barry Lyndon's Annuity Cheque: Bernardo Hees must've been a grade-A asshole when he worked at Burger King for this to happen.

I'll bet the decision isn't that petty; or having to do with personalities or Burger King connections etc.

The guy probably wants to get a few more cents out of McD's maybe more in keeping with the deal BK pays for packets (which is probably more than McD pays due to volume and long standing contract) and Dude is using that as a touchstone for what he wants Heinz to be paid.

McD's has a heck of a lot more pull to negotiate a cheaper contract and walked when Ketchup dude wanted them to pay BK prices..and there's many other companies who would love to get the McD's contract at a fraction of the profit they'd get from any other food joint.

/That's just IMHO because if they had offered same contract or cheaper McD's would give him a blow job and not care his BK past.

I don't think we can discuss outrageous CEO pay until someone explains why catsup is being spelled as ketchup. Talk about lies and misdirection...

Maybe he's just a present day grade-A asshole. Either way, he managed to lose a major contract right off the bat.

As both words are derived from the Chinese ke-tsiap, a pickled fish sauce, we're all commies at least. Rednecks and 'tards would not know of the existence of etymology.

Don't get me started on al-jabr.

Anyone bringing up the etymology of the word and pretending not to be a 'tard would realize the original Chinese sauce predates the communist takeover of China by 4 centuries.

I'm assuming you grew up in the southern US, because "Catsup" is a regional thing.  Like "pop" with people in the midwest.

If you're going to hate McDonald's, the best place to do so is in a McDonald's bathroom.

This is likely a poor move on the McDonald's CEO's part, no 57 varieties about it.

/it's about replacing the Heinz pickle on the ketchup label with a tomato, isn't it?

I'm sorry, I thought history included the majority of the time not devoted to our own little experiment. Commie was one of only three presentations you presented that had at least a little historical significance. Tards and rednecks being Palinesque...I now realize my mistake.

Not true! I totally always eat burgers at this little place that only me and three other people know about where they make 1lb burgers from imported Argentinian burger cows in an oven made out of a steam train boiler using anthracite coal. And the fries are cooked in 100% Tibetan yak oil, which makes bacon fat taste like vaseline.

So should be pretty obvious that I'm cooler than every other burger eater in the world except my three friends, and I'm cooler than them 'cause I just am.

Oh bullshiat the hell you say. Heinze is thick, rich, and has a great tomato flavor with several complimenting flavors making it ketchup instead of somethings like Hunts' sweet tomato sauce.

The Heinz situation is interesting. Encourage any here to read this month's article in Fortune about it. Heinz already went through several years of cost cutting prior to it's recent transition to 3G's oversight. Will 3G's draconian cost-cutting, on the back of all Heinz's prior cost-cutting, spoil Heinz's product lines and development?
