I was expecting the beard to be ZZ Top long.

I kept my Orange Crush t-shirt until 1996, when it fell apart. I only wear my NFL Champions sweatshirt when the Broncos play. Football folks can do the math.

If that beard didn't work he shoulda shaved it off, it had clearly become part of the reason for the continued losses.

Here is the rule for those that need a reminder: If shiat is working don't change anything, if shiat ain't working, change shiat.

In my friend's basement is a light that plays a huge role in the Jays series wins. We haven't quite figured out the intricacies but there's not doubt it's directly responsible.

*cries* Having grown up watching the Fran Tarkenton-led Vikings choke in the Big Game multiple times, and watching the ViQueens fail multiple times since, my heart goes out to his family! I love my Vikings (and I know someone who knows the pain of being actually related to a Vikings player from that era personally, since Doug Sutherland's brother was my old National Guard company and battalion commander), but gods, do they epitomize the definition of "chokemeisters" in a way that the Browns can only dream of!

You'll never catch a Lions' fan tying anything like that to a Superbowl win.  We know better.

Tru dat. We'd just be happy with winning the division once in our lifetimes (and yes, I am both a Vikings fan and a Lions fan, I'm a glutton for punishment!)!

I wanted to die to when I was watching Josh Freeman Monday night. That old man got lucky.

Real nice, Vikings. Way to help an old man out. For shame.

Josh Freeman sucked so bad he actually killed a guy. That's a first.

Well, at least that guy died smiling, unlike this guy.

His last words were, "FIRE FRA-".

Was the exact moment when Fran was taken down for a safety the moment of his vow?  Vikings Super Bowl record lows of nine first downs, 119  total offensive yards, 17 rushing yards, and no offensive scores.

1998 Vikings should've been SB champs. I say this as a Packers fan. That team was ridiculous

Denver would have still won, but it would have been a much better game. Denver was pretty ridiculous too.

Can't pin that all on Gary.  Just an epic string of terrible events.  Cunningham's fumble up 13 with the ball very late in the 1st half.  Robert Smith running out of bounds a couple of times to stop the clock.  Near interception in the end zone right before the tying td.  Cunningham overthrowing an open Moss in OT.

I don't know. Vikings that year had the firepower to keep up. Moss/Reed/Carter were near unstoppable. Would've been a great game.

Moss, Reed, and Carter would have had a great time watching from the sidelines as Terrell Davis did his thing. The Broncos were the same type of team Atlanta was that year (as in the type Minnesota couldn't stop), except they were better than Atlanta at every facet. It would have been a close game for three quarters. Unlike the one we got, which was only a game for the first half.

Gotta admire the dedication.  I can't even go more than a few weeks without feeling like a Neanderthal.

/Neanderthal is capitalized by autocorrect but homo sapiens isn't?
//always suspected the word homo sapien just meant gay sapiens. now my suspicions are confirmed.
