Nettles, 39, was suspended after she was accused of punching

I's say that was a stinging indictment, am I right?

She's surprisingly not a hideous looking woman. Especially for a mug shot photo.

I've never understood people who cheat on thier SO with someone exactly the same as their SO.  I mean, you're already nailing a cop, why not move on to say... a waitress?  Not to imply waitresses are inherently slutty, but they are in uniform, work flexible hours, and aren't as likely to run into your wife at the county gun range.

FTA:  John Nettles received a written reprimand in 2012 after he accidentally shot off half of a fellow SWAT team member's right middle finger during a drug raid. In 2011, he was one of two St. Cloud officers who shot a woman dead when they were called to a dispute between roommates.

More importantly, how is this moron still a cop?  Shot a fellow SWAT officer, and while the roommate thing sounds like a good shooting, balling a fellow officer while cheating on his wife should be enough that he should be off the force at this point.

False, being married to a moron shows bad decision making skills.  Throw them all off the force.

I think it's important for us to remember that no firearms were dishanged, no one was stabbed, homes weren't burnt to the ground, cars were not torched and a meth lab was not involved.

So, in summary, I would like to congratulate Florida.  It's a small step, but a step nonetheless.

The husband sounds like a real catch. I wouldn't trust that guy with a nerf gun.

And the officer that got her ass beat isn't hideous.

Is that all the irrelevant backstory we get??? Come on reporters (just cover them)... What did they have for dinner on Thanksgiving in 2010?? DId either of the women color their hair in 2009? Did they have any vacation days in 2008?? What were each of their favorite colors in 6th grade? Did any of them every poop themselves in class while in 1st grade and get made fun of or picked on for the rest of their school years which led to them becoming officers? What were the names of their  great-great-great-great-grandparents??

Exactly that.  Define your pronouns people!  The jilted cop was either Crazy or Jealous, and it makes a big difference.

The only person who would be stupid enough to cheat on a cop is another cop. Seriously, they have guns, tazers, and batons, and use them every day on more respectable people than you, and you think this can possibly end well?

It is kind of astonishing that this lady was fired outright though. Police unions usually make that impossible.

i dunno, i'm kind of intrigued by the fact that a cop who's cheating on cop-wife is remotely surprised when cop-wife & cop-gf duke it out?  oh yeah.  maybe i'm more intrigued about how it took two people to shoot a woman dead, or about him shooting off part of a SWAT guy's finger??  and this story isn't about HIM being in trouble?  FLORIDA AND FARK.

If I read this correctly, there was no mention of a liaison. Hair puller's Husband was in the car with An officer from his department while on duty. Hair puller was a deputy in a different department.

If it was on purpose they should make him the marksmanship instructor.  Also, give him a B-movie based on his life.  That scene alone is worth 2 hours of watching.

Yeah, cheating on someone sanctioned to use lethal force and carry a firearm 24/7 probably isn't the smartest idea.

"Officer, you read the news.

Even with the strict oversight of IA, thanks to our police unions we can look the other way for minor indiscretions.

Self injury due to accidental firearm discharge,

overzealous execution of ones duties ending in the cold-blooded homicide of an innocent after being shot 96 times,

even repeated incidents of being caught using drugs with a filthy prostitute in the back of your own squad car!
(I mean, if we fired every cop that did that we'd be all out of cops, lol)

Hell, we once gave an officer a 4 week vacation for running down and killing a mother, her 3 year old and the new puppy he was holding during a high-speed pursuit of a suspect that hadn't actually committed any crimes because he didn't even exist. I think the officer was found to be on speed and experiencing a particularly harsh roid-rage.

That officer was promoted 3 weeks later, continues to enjoy a six-figure salary due to exploitation of our overtime policies and as a matter of fact he *ahem* me, is sitting in front of you right now.

But pulling hair?
That is a bridge too far. You are a disgrace to the badge and the uniform.

That's a firing."

sanctioned to use lethal force, in the line of duty, with a firearm...  none of which seem to be an issue here.

The three younger women are very nice, indeed. I'm assuming sisters, and if that's their Mom, they will do quite well in the long haul.

I believe, here in VA,  if you are stupid enough to commit simple assault and/or battery against a leo, it's a mandatory minimum of 6 months jail.

I seem to remember a few years ago some bonehead knocked an officer's sunglasses off, breaking them, and went to jail for a long time. (Iirc in testimony it was pretty clear the officer goaded him into swinging - some inappropriate comment about wife/daughter - they had a personal history, I forget... didn't matter).

/Going to jail for thumping your husband's illicit lover. At least put them alone in a room for five minutes and let her get her money's worth.

The only time cops are punished is when they do something to their fellow gang members.
