TFA is a POS.

Headline should read "Man who knowingly repeats behaviors that cause additional screening baffled that he keeps getting additional screening".

And please learn to structure your writing.

Quit holding up the line old man.  And for the daughter, fark you, cash is perfectly acceptable to use.

That goes double if the cash belongs to your client and they're the ones paying for your private jet airplane ride.

I highly recommend it.

Lauren Ritchie is a universally hated Sentinel "columnist". Her writing is horrible and very opinionated -- embarrassing to read at times. If her Father really acts like this (wouldn't put it past her to be making most of this up), I can see why she's suck a hack.

My computer guy wore something from here on his way to NYC. He's 6'8" and 320lbs.. He 'accidentially' stumbled and fell on top of a TSA agent. He said he was never sure if the people behind him were laughing at him or the TSA agent. Noone seemed upset at the delay.

That's probably why the TSA is keeping an eye on them.

All that excess skin could hide a lot of C4 and the pacemaker could be used as a detonator.
All it takes to program them to blow up a plane is hacking into their television set and sending them an altered version of 'Fox and friends'.

Scratch that, just letting them watch the program should be enough.

Those of you deriding the old man and sticking up for the TSA here: that salty taste in your mouth and dripping down your chin is the TSA milkshake... you really should clean up a bit... and don't speak with your mouth full next time.

There used to be a time in this country when we wouldn't have stood for this shiat. Now it seems we are all just pussies. (I don't fly so don't bother trying to flip the script on me)

Jesus fark. I'm a below-knee amputee, with a titanium rod in my femur. Other countries don't fark with me at all other than a hand metal detector that they ignore and don't investigate further. But even two weeks ago, I didn't even get an explosive swab or body scan at LAX. The overzealousness is definitely getting much better.

A WWII vet is a person who risked his life, Who gave up part of the prime of his life to LEGITIMATELY protect your freedom.

A TSA employee is a person who deprives you of your freedom while ILLEGITIMATELY claiming to protect it.

I don't care what the old guy does. I cast my lot with him unconditionally.

He was in the Navy. I'm guessing he enlisted in the Navy, not enlisted in the Army and got transferred to the Navy. Just my thought though. Not too much use for a gunner's mate to be a crack shot. They weren't carrying unless they were on bridge duty. So even if he was a horrible shot, it's completely irrelevant to the topic at hand and you should feel bad about posting it.

Done in one. I saw an antagonistic father-daughter duo - he's not "baffled" by it, as it's clear that both he and his daughter know, full well, what's triggering the additional screening. And, yes, the article was terribly constructed - she was too busy fluffing her dad's war record, as if it somehow carried over to her, to actually spend time illustrating the point of their pointless shenanigans.

BKA here, as well.  I have a carbon fiber socket and no cosmetic covering, and I intentionally wear shorts when I fly.  The TSA morons still wand me, pat me down, sample my prosthesis for bomb residue, check my mouth with a tongue depressor, etc.

I've been through airport security in Auckland, Cancun, Bermuda, Toulouse, Dublin, and London, and never had more than a cursory inspection.  New Zealand was probably the most reasonable, almost astonishingly so.   Contrast that with Hunstville, AL, where I had low-power (supposedly) x-ray imaging of my leg from multiple angles.  For freedom.

There are lots of ways to protest. Doing it routinely in the line at the airport while getting on a flight really isn't a good time or place. Write your congressman, for example.

Being a dick to the people doing their job following a stupid policy is just being a dick. They don't set the policy.

I suppose your solution to poorly set speed limits would be to flagrantly violate them in front of cops, and then be a dick to the cop for giving you a ticket when you were going 50 in a 25?
