While I'm sorry for you, I can understand why it didn't sell. For one thing, that kind of stuff has been all over cable for the past couple of years, typically on HGTV, travel channel, etc. lower-tieir cable, so it isn't unique. Even saw a reality show that was just about obsessed guys like this, last year, and it just wasn't all that compelling.

If I may make a suggestion, what you want to do well in advance for next year is, make your own time buy and run an updated version of the show, and sell the commercial time on trade-outs, for related businesses like costume shops, candy stores, and the local jaycees haunted house, etc.   You don't make much money off selling the show, but you CAN make a reasonable profit if you on the commercial time within your program.  And the beauty of this is that you can run it in as many markets as you can bankroll, customizing each one.

If you are fast, you might still be able to set one of these up in your own local TV market for a broadcast station. Buy the hour, and re-sell spots within the hour to appropriately-themed local businesses. Goose it up by working with the sales manager to add some interstitial segments where you preview local area corn mazes and JC haunted houses, etc. This probably too late to pull off this year, like I said, but I wish you future success.

TLC? There's your problem. I would have learned something from your show. Can't have that on that network.

you should have played the southern angle that is popular again since Duck Dynasty became huge. Southern Haunted Houses...........now with more redneck accent

I am not one for self pity, or one for boosting view counts for those who self pity so I chose not to click.

It's not for self pity or "boosting video counts" that I chose to share. I chose to share because I thought people would be entertained for 1 minute. That's the problem with you trolls. You always think people suck, their work sucks and their only motivation is to fark people. When you grow up you'll discover some things are just gifts.

I did not say your work sucked our that you sucked, you inferred that. See what I mean about the self pity angle?

Ok so some things are just gifts. I watched your gift. Does your gift come witjh a receipt? I'd like that minute back.

Any Pie Left: While I'm sorry for you, I can understand why it didn't sell. This is exactly why I'm confused as to why it wasn't picked up.  Those secondary cable stations you mention, along with TLC eat this stuff up.  I don't purposely sit down to watch a show like that, but when I'm flipping stations and I land on it, I stay to watch.

I know zero about that creation/presentation/selling process, but I'd be interested to know if "it's run its course" as you say or if a similar show by a different creator was picked up in its place.

That narrators voice was annoying as hell. From the way he over enunciated every syllable to the nasal quality of his voice, there is no way I'd sit through an entire hour program of that.

That VO is the TEMP voice over from the editor. NOT the professional.

Nana's vibrator:
Cable companies don't care if someone else has made a similar show... why do you think there are 9 variations of Storage Wars? There are LOTS of reasons the company (s) didn't but the show: not good for their demographic, too scary, too costly, can't find an ad partner, don't have space on the schedule, don't want to promote a one-off.... BUT -- i have also made three other specials you have likely seen, called Invasion of the Christmas Lights... My point is, this show wasn't made for who the "f" knows why? Seriously. People who make TV are bakers. We make delicious chocolate cake. Unfortunately, a cable network decides they're only buying Banana Scones. What can you do? Nothing.

Fark TLC. I enjoyed every second of that lil promo and I hope you get to show it to more suits at other stations (or whatever, I don't know the biz). I'd love to see that show. Seriously. Best of luck to you. Damn rare I see a clip on Fark worth watching. Thanks for not wasting my time.

1) Get a trained announcer. Someone who sounds like s/he's actually talking, not reading as s/he goes.
2) You took longer than 5 seconds to get to the point. I'm asleep already.
3) Shave all the clips as close as possible. None longer than a second. Keep the whole thing under 30.

Now you'll find buyers.

I love it! I would really enjoy seeing this show. The network is a poopyhead!

Subby, thank you for sharing. I like your work and wish you all the best of success.
