I swear that for 8 years starting around 2000 every GOP talking head was a firm believer in the "respect the office if not the man" maxim and insisted that treating the president of the US with contempt was tantamount to disrespecting AMERICA ITSELF.   I wonder what could have caused such a radical shift in their thinking on this?

Subby, you're assuming there was some mass-communication device, some series of tubes if you will, that would be able to archive these alleged statements. To my knowledge and the knowledge of my GOP brethren, nothing of the sort exists.

and their core voters will vote for them even harder if that is at all possible.

I was wondering what the meetings were like when Obama invited all the representitives to the whitehouse during the shutdown and Boner only allowed a handful to go.   I figured the best to be expected was for them to be like the O'Reilly interview with Obama on FOX.  It sounds like Obama had to deal with 20 O"Reillys.

What difference would that make?  The guy responsible would just deny, deny, deny.  Then being a republican, he'd project and say that it was actually Obama who was rude to him.

Also, I'm going to say it was this guy:

Who was the governor(?) who was point her finger at him on the runway as he left AF1?

No idea why they think this is appropriate.  None at all.

And there was another link today from Townderp.com all butthurt about how the "lamestream media" tended to blame the shutdown on the GOP.

I cannot see a rational explanation for the shutdown that assigns the blame -- or even partial blame, for that matter -- to the Democratic Party. Especially when you read shiat like this.

I would love to know which GOPer said this.  Whoever did it deserves a good public scorning.

Look, you can't go around calling people racist for taking a principled stand against the President for who he chose as a father. Real leaders like Reagan and Bush had the foresight to stop the African semen swimming around their mother's vaginas from fertalizing their egg.

I'm going to guess it was Bachmann.  She's regarded as a "leader" for some criminally insane reason.  I somehow doubt that having her say that would cause Obama to lose sleep.

When this person is finally identified, they will be a hero to the right.

This years barrel of Republican tears will go down as the finest batch my distillery has ever produced. The butthurt combined with extraordinary environmental factors (self owned Teahadists + Obama 2nd term) has ensured that this will be a malt for the ages.

I'd have considered that a threat and had the Secret Service detail break his farking legs.

Honestly, who in the fark talks that way to the President??  Is it the same people that went apeshiat over the picture of Obama with his feet up on the desk?

Look you have to understand they are trying to keep themselves from calling Obama the N word. They all know that one N bomb and their political career is done, finished, over, dead so they say things like this. The problem is not that the racists took over the Republican party, it's that the Republican party was always this racist and asinine. It's just when they see a black man who has more power and is better then they are, well they just can't help but spew asinine shiat.

screw the leaders of the GOP, they are incapable.
