To be fair, I'd expect that kind of hygiene when the mother looks like Bobo & Little Debbil from Nothing But Trouble.

You can find neat stuff in dumpsters sometimes, but the stickers on the outside make it clear it's no place for children.

This is pretty typical for white people.

When they aren't busy building the colosseum, discovering penicillin, exploding cities with nuclear weapons, and landing men on the moon, then yeah, I guess it might not be unusual.

Seems to me if the state takes away your foster kids, they should probably take your biological kids at the same time and save some gasoline.

Dunno man, antibiotics were sorta discovered by the egyptians, and I don't know about you but those Mediterranean folks* look kinda ethnic to me...

As for the nuclear bombs thing, sure, a white guy pulled the trigger, but it took a Jew and a bunch of Japanese to really make it happen.

At least they're heterosexual. Give the kids back.

Seven kids? I see four are foster kids and three biologcal one but that must be hard to manage. I wonder if they are on some sort of welfare....

You might be a redneck if:

FTA: Four of the children were being fostered by McElvain and Polk, who are actually married to other people but living together, and three of the children are biological.

Lol I never heard anyone give credit to the Japanese for the invention of the nuclear bomb before but I guess that does make total sense. They did provide some powerful motivation

kdawg7736: I wonder if they are on some sort of welfare

They were, until the state reclaimed their 4 welfare outlets. The way we let the state sell children -- children already removed from their homes -- as part of the social welfare system is deplorable. Which I assume is the point you were trying to make.

I found it more interesting to learn that four of the children were not biological. Androids, then, they must be? Do robots even have civil rights? Can you call a machine a child?

Biological children don't, so I don't see why robot children would.

I'm pretty sure they didn't actually use the proper tense when speaking that sentence. "We haven tooken them dumpster diving since the foster kids got tooken away" is how this really went down.

"findin'" or "lookin'" is what the Hoosiers who do this call it. When I was a kid, about 9 or 10, my friend Michael and I found a dumpster behind St. John's Lutheran school/church absolutely chock-full of fluorescent light bulbs about four feet long and smashed them all to hell in light sabre battles and just hitting them on the building and throwing them around the alley. I came home covered in white dust and lied to my parents and said I wrecked my bike in the church's gravel parking lot. Smashing all that glass was a lot of fun. I don't think there was mercury in the bulbs back in 94. If there was then it's still inside me because I inhaled enough tube dust to make my snot white still the next morning. Phosphorus maybe? Smashing all that glass was a lot of fun.

Came to say something along those lines. They give kids to any ole couple... as long as they are a man and a woman.

Do not play in or around dumpster.
Do not sleep in dumpster.
Do not kick dumpster.
Use of this container for disposal of human remains may be a violation of local health ordinances.

No no, white persons did that, not white people. These two are more representative of the species in general.

Police say McElvain and Polk's home was "deplorable" and the children were covered with bug bites, lice, scabies and bed bugs while roaches and trash littered the floors.
The couple then moved to the home in which they currently live, police say, and their biological children were returned.

CPS seems to have this notion that 'families should be kept together' even when the parents are garbage. Then again, when I consider the subhuman pieces of shiat that sometimes qualify as foster parents I'm not sure what should be done.

Probably for much the same reason why it's so difficult to have someone involuntarily committed to a psych ward: because when you go the other way it is so easy for the system to be abused by other deplorable people.

I'm thinking orphanages with lots of regulation and transparency. No more Little Orphan Annie, set it up with services and professionals all in one location. Kids living on the upper floor, nurses, doctors, psychologists, social workers, teachers, police services, lawyers, employment counseling, etc. on the lower floor. Cameras and security to the max.

It must drive them to drink, knowing that the kids they just took away from one foster home are likely going to another one just as bad.

That movie is one of my top 10. So much underrated goodness there.

Sadly, that is true. The only thing we can be certain of is that either way the children are the ones who suffer. Articles like this one tend to really drive home how screwed up the system is. These people have made it abundantly clear that they aren't even interested in cleaning up the garbage, roaches and maggots, much less actually caring for children. IMO, in no circumstances should they ever have custody of any children. To make it just a little bit worse, they had foster children in their care. To take in foster children who have likely already had a very rough life and then treat them this way is...... I honestly can't think of the appropriate word. It should denote horror, disgust, fury and a bit of an urge to shoot them in the head.
