Acronym fail.

2013-10-23 08:43:40 AM
Probably did it from his work computer. You would expect someone with a Director level spot to be a little brighter.

2013-10-23 08:45:33 AM
uh, Subby? I think you didn't mean TSA, but MTA.

Go Sox!

I have always assumed the BART was spying on me.

TSA =/= NSA.

Wtf?

Pants full of macaroni!!: What's his Fark handle?

Sounds an awful lot like that Big Steve dick who called federal employees "parasites" during the shutdown.

2013-10-23 08:52:45 AM
White House: Find out where this is coming from.
NSA: It's coming from inside the house!

2013-10-23 08:53:05 AM

HotIgneous Intruder: TSA =/= NSA.

Wtf?

Doesn't matter to subby.  It's all gubbmint, and any gubbmint is bad gubbmint.

So, is he a Fox News personality yet?  Or will they wait until next week.

Or not

Of Clinton, he wrote on the Twitter account that she had few policy goals and no wins in the Middle East - severely attacking her actions regarding the Benghazi, Libya affair last year.

TSA is actually doing it's own spying. They run background checks on passengers before they get to the airport. They access all government records to check you out.

What language was that article translated from?

"he was the social media account insulter of public officials "
"White House official who helped negotiation nuclear issues with Iran"
"Daily Beast had enough to fun with the story"

Here is why he got fired. He told the truth about Clinton.

'Of Clinton, he wrote on the Twitter account that she had few policy goals and no wins in the Middle East - severely attacking her actions regarding the Benghazi, Libya affair last year. '

Nobody ever tells the truth about a Clinton! Not even a Clinton! He is lucky he didn't accidentally shoot himself in the back of the head with a shotgun.

that looks more like Engrish than english to me. Possibly even approaching Namlish.

NSA, obviously.  How could anyone - even a gov't worker - be so unintelligent as to think he could get away with posting crap about the gov't on Twitter and not be tracked down?  Posting that kind of stuff is probably like a magnet for the NSA.

... especially when you start by bragging about how deep you are on the inside and how much access you have to information.  The guy was asking to get caught.

If I did this shiat at my non-government job I'd be fired.

It's twitter. This doesn't take an NSA level of computer knowledge or FBI level of counter-intelligence knowledge to figure out who the leak is.

I'm pretty sure FARK could have figured it out in 30 minutes if we cared enough.

2013-10-23 09:31:22 AM
I work for a software company and stay away from social networking mostly because of this.
I guess if they want to fire me because of Fark they will need to read the posts I wrote first.
And I know from working there, no one ever reads what I write.

meh, guy can parlay that firing into some kind of job at a right wing think tank or news org, probably a win/win situation for all involved.

Meanwhile, no one is held accountable for:

IRS targets Obama's enemies
Benghazi
Keeping an eye on The Associated Prese and Fox News reporter James Rosen
The ATF "Fast and Furious"
The Pigford scandal
Solyndra
AKA Lisa Jackson: Former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson used the name "Richard Windsor" when corresponding by email
The New Black Panthers and voteing
And now the Obamacare Rollout.

Ah, there's the angle.

I was wondering how you derps were going to get outraged about a perfectly unremarkable "guy talks shiat about his boss and gets fired" story.

Boning up on Engrish is one of the best advantages of Farking around on Fark.  Don't knock it.

Not outraged. Screw that guy. Just commenting on how the Clintons cannot be spoken ill of. By the media or the government workers.

There's a bunch of ROTC kids here that wear anti-Obama shirts.

"We know: he sucks", with the Obama sunrise logo as the 'o'.

Makes me wonder how/why commanders allow it. I can't wear something about my boss and expect my job.

Headso: meh, guy can parlay that firing into some kind of job at a right wing think tank or news org, probably a win/win situation for all involved.

This guy wasn't a right-winger. From the article that figured out who was fired (the twitter account was closed a few days ago):
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/10/22/white-house-officia l- fired-for-tweeting-under-fake-name1.html

"I'm a fan of Obama, but his continuing reliance and dependence upon a vacuous cipher like Valerie Jarrett concerns me,"

"So when will someone do us the favor of getting rid of Sarah Palin and the rest of her white trash family? What utter useless garbage .... ,"

"Was Huma Abedin wearing beer goggles the night she met Anthony Wiener? Almost as bad a pairing as Samantha Powers and Cass Sunstein ....,"

The guy is just full of snark, much like Fark. In fact, from what I've heard the twitter account was a guilty pleasure of a large section of the DC foreign policy community.

What's more, this guy wasn't a disaffected desk-jockey. He's a nonproliferation expert that was part of the team negotiating with Iran. He was doing it for shiats and giggles, not because he had a vendetta.

I don't think that really matters.  As long as he can fake it, the rubes will totally fire into it, especially if he plays up the "fired for standing up to Fartbama" card.
