(Daily Mail)   Media claims you were a victim of sexual assault. That's an internet slutshaming and derps threatening you. Bonus: She was misidentified by the media, while the real victim's name is protected by police and the media doesn't care   (dailymail.co.uk) divider line 365

For everybody who (re)tweeted the false info -- hell, even if it was the correct name -- they should all be assaulted on video, then claim they were asking to be beaten and deserved it. If they go to the police about it, they should be arrested for filing a false police report.

People who judge without actually witnessing the turn of events are clueless puss*es.  You don't know jack, so STFU you sanctimonious b*tches.

Orally assaulted? I'm game!

Curtains or carpet?

Yeah because there's never collateral damage.

I'd be outraged if this was from a source other than the Daily Mail. What, no one could find the Mirror's take on this?

I'm pretty sure the entire "Twitterverse" could rain down their verbal barbs and scorn upon me and I wouldn't have the slightest idea.

That's one bad headline, Harry.

Is this about the video of the sexual assault that's clearly not a sexual assault?

It's almost as if rape culture is a product of places like jezebel, who promote rape like it's a commodity.

Hmm.  They should be legally required to at least print a retraction.  Granted, once the ball starts moving there is little chance that this will ACCOMPLISH anything.

With the way people get blamed and sued over everything these days, I probably wouldn't intervene either as a civilian. Next thing you know, you're labeled as a participant, on the sex offender registry, and can't live within 50 miles of any place a child has walked, ever.

This one sounds odd. They use the word pinned to make it sound forced, but it just doesnt make sense. I feel horrible and weird wanting to see it to judge for myself, and not like a weirdest boner sense. Fark it, I'll let the authorities handle this one. Or someone who doesn't fail daily

Oh, if only there were some type of Internet Crusader who Anonymously defends the defenseless...

This is the reason I tell people not to push Anonymous on a pedestal.  They're more than willing to swing into action for perceived injustices committed by others, but if they ever do anything wrong none of them get whipped into a frenzy about it.

FTFA "video of a girl being pinned against a wall"

Anybody watch the video? I did. The girl is caressing the guy's head numerous times throughout the video when she isn't running her hands through her own hair while she struggles to stand up during the act.

Here it is. It is about as (N)SFW as you would expect based on the censored photos everywhere.

People on the internet are going to troll.  Its not going to stop.

I quickly lose sympathy about things like slut shaming when the people who complain about it like to then turn around and make jokes about prison rape.  It kind of ruins the whole "rape is bad" thing you guys are angling for.  (Just to be clear Rape IS bad but that includes all types of rape even prison rape)

I took all this the opposite way, it was drunken consensual sex then became rape when she sobered up and found out the videos went viral?
Or did I just feed a troll?
What if this girl really is the alleged victim and is covering up it's her, same as she lied to protect herself from the embarrassment of the video?
What if there are gangs of college student zombies roaming the streets of Ohio performing oral on innocent bystanders?
/I think I've derailed...

Would it help if I went down on her (with her consent, of course)?

Because she's pretty hot.

So at least she has that going for her.

And I am sincere when I say that calling this rape demeans all actual rape victims and this incident will hurt the credibility of future victims of actual rape.

But that's unrelated to the fact that this girl is not the one in the video (police have confirmed that she was not a party to this) and the treatment of her believing she was the woman in the video who later reported the incident as a rape is disgusting.

It's clearly a case of regret rape. She's embrassed and trying to save face. In the video she strokes his head and is in no way trying to make him stop. Thank goodness for the guy we have video of the event. She's no victim.

You guys can't tell that she is completely pinned against the wall, obviously against her will, getting horribly and repeatedly sexually assaulted?  I mean, if you can't call this rape, then what CAN you call rape??

Do you all realize the point of this story is not whether it was rape or not, but that a totally innocent party is being crucified via social media?

In the video clip I saw she seemed to be getting into it, running her hands through her and his hair, not held against a wall. Anybody else see a different video?
