Yes, people will just FLOCK to the mighty GOP, right?

Who?

2013-10-21 01:22:32 PM
How so? The popularity of Obamacare is going UP not DOWN. The only people that care about this are already voting GOP.

In a way, the problems with the Obamacare website have only served to the benefit of the Affordable Healthcare Act. It makes it look like something desirable and exclusive that people are willing to wait sine time for and jump through significant hoops to achieve. In many ways, it's similar to cronuts.

So pulling a $24 BILLION stunt shutting down the government and voting to defund something 42 times...something already passed by Congress, signed into law and upheld by the SCOTUS doesn't cause a "credibility death spiral," ...............but a website that was designed to interface with shutdown Federal agencies (like the IRS) and  50 different states (and other territories) and interface with a multitude of private companies that the Administration specifically warned beforehand would have some bugs and kinks for a few months leads to "EVERYBODY PANIC" ?

What the fark is this journalist smoking?

2013-10-21 01:37:05 PM
Just fix the stupid website and lets get past this.

2013-10-21 01:38:36 PM
Uh, coverage doesn't start until Jan 1, 2014, so the "bounce" is still aways away.  And this one little tiny aspect of a gigantic overhual of the country's health care industry isn't "obamacare."  It's a farking place to shop for insurance products.  It's not an ideal.  It's not an ethos.  It's Travelocity for health insurance.

There are so many things worth hating in Obamacare that have nothing to do with the exchanges that this has a been a brilliant diversion and what's worse - the republicans are to blame!

I wouldn't call that "worse," and I'd like to know what "so many" things are worth hating

Barack Obama?  He's the President of the United States.

At this point a DNC presidential candidate named: Mr. Obamacare Death Panel could run against the GOP and win in 2016.

What's interesting today is seeing the explosion of conservatives asking "Is Obamacare Obama's Iraq War"?

The levels of wrongness in that idea staggers the mind.

We should totally listen to what the GOP is currently whining about. Those guys are really good at that whole governing thing.

Also, and I don't know if this is the case, maybe the complete determination of one party to not allow any money at all go to "Obamacare" might have had some slight impact on the readiness of the website at launch.

Also, as has been said, the website is hardly the entirety of Obamacare, I'm sure the same people decrying this "total failure" weren't decrying the checks they got from their insurers cased on the 85-15 rule, which is also part of Obamacare.

2013-10-21 02:21:29 PM
I can't believe that if this website goes down then that means healthcare gets turned off :(. Pray for America to get this webpage working or you and your kids will be out on the street sticking up people for $12 worth of Obamacare. God bless.

Saves on operations cost and overhead. You better go for your annual checkup or the system will flag you as fit for a death panel.

This.  Everyone knows the Iraq War was Obama's Vietnam.

Obamacare is Hillary's Katrina.

The saddest part is that the healthcare.gov portal is only there because the GOP governors in so many states decided to fark their constituents. The state exchanges are running great for the most part.

Fair enough, but this is most likely the usual software shakedown problems (and this was a huge undertaking years in the making), and when it's by a private company that has the schedule flexibility to withhold releasing software until the bugs are mostly shaken out you get better results. Obamacare didn't have schedule flexibility, it had to be online on date certain.

But thanks to idiot Republicans, most people now think Obamacare's online problems were due to the shutdown. GREAT SUCCESS?

Meh. This is mostly media hype, as the contractor they hired to process paper form enrollment was told they'd have a much higher volume than people enrolling online.

The website isn't the only way to get prices and enroll.

Did you see the FAQ page on the Health Care web-site.  I heard it is just hundreds of images of gay pornography.  Also, if you click on "Back" on your browser before completing a form, the chick from the movie "The Ring" pops up on the screen.

Can you at least have the decency to clean up the bullshiat you've been called out on in the previous thread before you try again here?

Sorry, I need healthcare but I can't get it because Obamacare is ruining the country. So of course I won't waste any time on that website. Also doesn't it end in .gov? That's socialism.

I know that the Obamacare website has only been open for two weeks and six days, but to me, it seems like nine weeks and five days. The first day seemed like a week and the second day seemed like five days. And the third day seemed like a week again and the fourth day seemed like eight days. And the fifth day, I didn't try to long in, so that seemed just like a day. And then I tried later on the sixth day, in the evening, and that started seeming like two days, so in the evening it seemed like two days spilling over into the next day and that started seeming like four days, so at the end of the sixth day on into the seventh day, it seemed like a total of five days. And the sixth day seemed like a week and a half. I have it written down, but I can show it to you tomorrow if you want to see it.
