Unless you're plugging your Vitamix into an audio grade power receptacle you're missing out on a ton of extra flavor.

We have a Vitamix. My wife uses it all the time, without issue, and it has never failed to work or need expensive repairs every few weeks use.

It's hardly the Ferrari of blenders.

What are you people using this thing for?

We make a few smoothies a week, and sure, some part of my male ego would love to have a blender with crazy power, but $400?

I'll spend some extra money for quality, but it better be high quality, with a legitimate warranty.

Is this just a really expensive smoothie-maker? Does it crush ice? Blend spices? Terrify Chunk? Clean easily?

I'm really asking.

Marcus Aurelius: No love in here for Blendtec.  I always wondered if anyone bought them.

Guess not!

They're pretty baller. There's a reason Vitamix stole the wildside design.

I make snow in mine. For snowcones Hawaiians can be proud of.
