I guess that technically makes me your boss. Pack up your shiat and get the fark out of here. You're fired.

Sell the Pay-Per-View rights, and you'd be able to balance the budget AND enact another stimulus program.

Anything is possible.  Cruz has made such an impression on my 68 year old mother that she's talking about a double-roadtrip from California to Texas during the primaries and general to participate in "get out the vote" events and to help drive people to polling stations, etc.

She might actually write a check to the DSCC for the first time in two decades and will definitely be funding whomever Cruz is running against next.

You'd have to know my Mom to understand, but this is roughly equivalent to me bumping into her at Burning Man or something.  She's THAT pissed off at him.

Remember when John McCain met Levi Johnston out on the tarmac with the Palins, greeting and welcoming the father of Bristol Palin's baby in order to establish some kind of damage control?

That shiat was awkward.

And it should be an absurd reminder that we are partially in this mess because of McCain's complicity in welcoming the folksy, nutjob branch of the Right into positions of power within the GOP just to maintain relevance.

The current favorite of these folksy rural nutjobs is a Canadian-born son of a communist revolutionary who graduated from Harvard Law.  And then it gets weird...

I'd find this shiat hilarious if the very notion of it weren't so depressing.

You have someone who's level of senility fluctuates the same way a roller-coaster twists and turns versus a twit who specializes in using the status of full-retard as foundation-building material.  In any other arena, this would be the laughfest of the century.  Here, it's a goddamn disgrace.

How on earth is that 'moving forward'? I mean - I suppose he'd dropped Benghazi hearings from the GOP to-do list...

HotWingConspiracy: Ted Cruz will lose in the end, because he can't deliver. He will split the base though, and reign as King of Nothing.

I predict, that his career will follow the following trajectory:

1) the tea Partier and the freepers will near-deify him in the run up to 2012
2)His war chest and fantatical support wil put him just over the finish line to be the GOP nominee in 2016, squeaking out Rubio who will fall because of the fact that he's making nice with the establishment GOP right now.
3) he will immediately begin meeting with the GOP moneymen and bUsiness groups to  remind them them that he's a Harvard law grad, a former Deputy Solicitor general, and like Hamlet, merely feigning madness for his own ends, but not to worry, f he gets elected he'll take care of businesses
4) Ted's inexperience and general poltical clumsyness will begin to tell in a long general campaign as he tries to lurch back to center, while the DNC gleefully harvests you tube for his greatest hits of Derp
5) the Uber-right will watch him plummet in the polls and tell us "Libs" that it because we are the REAL racists and refuse to vote for a Hispanic and then "unskew" the polls assuming Obama-like turn out and numbers voting for Cruz among Hispanics
6) Cruz will lose and lose worse than Romney and President Warren or Clinton will be elected
7) The Right then first scream about electoral fraud for a good solid 3 months, and see Cruz a a martyr cheated of his prize by corrupt Dems
8) Then they will remeber all the moderate things he said trying to move back to center in the general election and conclude he was a traitorous RINO who probably wasn't even eligible to be president since he wasn't born here, and really can you trust those Hispanics anyway?
9) Having determined that Cruz was beaten because he wasn;t conservative ENOUGH, they will go back into the wilderness and look for thier new savior
10) Ted Cruz won't be able to get so much as invite to speak at CPAC for the rest of his life.

"What we need to do is move forward with immigration reform, get a positive agenda for America, continue the fight against Obamacare, get taxes down, address this whole issue of sequestration which is devastating our military,"

Obamacare *is* a positive move forward for America. Fighting it unless you are fighting tor replace it with Single Payer is a negative.

Immigration reform? Dems want it. Residual racism/xenophobia/fear of the end of white entitlement in the GOP prevents it.

Get taxes down? I thought you guys were serious about balancing the budget.

Sequestration? The rest of the GOP think it's a great thing except for the military cuts they think they can avoid while slashing what's left of America's safety net.

Face it, Walnuts, the GOP is simply politically incapable of advancing any kind of positive agenda at this time.

Ted Cruz is just a megalomaniac spouting bad policy in order to build up his name recognition prior to 2016 and almost everything he says can be cheerfully discarded once you realize that.

True, a democracy (the House) is supposed to be as I stated. But, Senor Cruz is treating his Republic (Senate) seat the same way. He's obviously only working for the "betterment" of the people that voted for him. You'd be hard pressed to find people that didn't vote for him yet feel he is representing them.

My take; he gets lots of votes in the primaries, but doesn't take the nomination (he may be able to get it, but will tell the guys behind the scenes he doesn't want it), claims to be oppressed be the Establishment, profit for all eternity in the Senate.
