While these certainly aren't new, they've had these types of Sushi joints in japan for years, Hell there's even a whole porn sub genre for it where a group of men (And if you're lucky women) sit in booths and naked tied up women are chosen off the conveyer belt as they slide by. Not that I've watched it, just saying it's out there.

Lost my train of thought............

OH YES! Never seen one quite this sophisticated before, or sterile. I mean damn, dude looked like he was ready for a hazmat team back there. Wish they'd bring this to the states.

I live in the backwoods Northeast (tohoku) of Japan, and these are all over the place.  It looks almost like a Kappa-Zushi, except for the disposal chutes and the prizes.

I loves me some Kappa-Zushi.  Go in, sit down, and keep the Asahi beer, fried shrimp, eel, and salmon neta coming.

Love it. What I wouldn't give to see that brought to the fast food industry. No more sh*t slapped together by a minimum wage monkey who could't care less about the quality, presentation or finished product.

I envy you. I really do. I've never been to Japan, but, I imagine it's a lot more ordered, sane, and polite than anything you'd find in Canada. I'm sick of the mind set of the people around me. Canadians are dull and grey, lack ambition and couldn't think there way out of a paper bag. They filter everything through the eyes of Americans and aren't interested in leading. It's soul crushing living here.

Thus adding to some of the more interesting searches I have done this month...

HA! I have a French Canadian friend who grew up in Manitoba. So yeah, I've gotten poutine, too.
Not quite as easy on the arteries as seafood, from what I understand.
