Many entertainers fail to age gracefully as they get older.

Very few of them turn into a sack of shiat.

MaudlinMutantMollusk: who?

Did Dennis Rodman marry a man named Miller?

He was violated by Osama on 9/11. Hasn't been the same since.

Wasn't he not ever funny on snl like 30 years ago

I thought some of his SNL stuff was okay.  Then again, he was surrounded by some good folks.  Then again, Victoria Jackson was there, too.  So, I dunno.

When did Mr Miller go from being marginally entertaining to just plan stupid?

His old SNL cast-mate and writing partner once told me, in all seriousness that he attributes it to early onset Alzheimer's

From the comments section:

MILLER!
You are now banished forever by all true comedians.

Carlin would despise you.
Mark Twain would rebuff you.
Dickens would abhor you.
The essence of comedy is to take the rich and powerful down a peg and to encourage and empower the less fortunate.

As Woody Guthrie once wrote, the purpose of folk art is to disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed.

You, with no soul, no moral compass, no sense of human dignity, no sense of justice or fairness, no sense of truth or kindness, you ...
because you have no soul, you have become profoundly un-funny.

You are dead as a comedian. Dead.

Wow, harsh words from very sensible people.

Let's see you read (and submit articles from) the Huffington Post.

And you think Miller has brain problems?????

Is he saying to fire an Obama supporter because no Obama supporter is also a business owner?

2013-10-20 11:45:00 AM
He's still being a comedian, because that's some funny shiat right there.

Maybe he's trolling us, Andy Kaufman style.

2013-10-20 11:45:13 AM
Interesting explanation of the politics around Miller.

There's something karmically fitting about the fact that Miller, whose act requires an audience with deep cultural fluency and a finely honed sense of irony, has wound up performing for the boobs who watch The O'Reilly Factor. His fall has been long and precipitous, from the comedy flagship of Saturday Night Live to the graveyard of Fox News. Miller is too sharp not to recognize this himself.

I think he's saying we should fire Warren Buffett.

No, he saying fire an Obama supporter because it will make you feel better, and its a good way to stick it to the libs and Obama.

If business owners got to let people go because of Obamacare and the effects it has on the economy, why shouldn't Obama supports be the first to go?   Why employ people who support policies that are putting you out of business?

I'm guessing Magorn switched the gendered pronoun to hide Victoria Jackson's identity.

Not guilty. I didn't even like Latka, the only remotely humorous thing Kaufmann ever did.

It beats the hell out of me how otherwise intelligent people (Miller, Cruz, etc.) can come to such fantastically wrong-headed outlooks on life in the first place.

If you're stupid enough to think that people supporting Obama are what's putting you out of business, you probably never stood a chance of succeeding anyway.

I would love it if my GOP-leaning boss would fire me.  Then I could go on unemployment and and still vote Democratic.

The late 80's, early 90's SNL is really cranking out the political crackpots

The attack on 9/11 scared him enough that he fled to the far extreme right.  It's pitiful to see a man so terrified of changing reality that he clings to the very people that would tear down society out of fear of change.

I have to disagree with the diagnosis of advanced Alzeheimers for Mr. Miller because if there's one word i'd use to describe him, advanced wouldn't be it.

1. My boss is a rational adult who doesn't give a shiat who the hell his employers vote for, and

2. *You* try finding an experienced PLC programmer+electrical CAD designer+instrumentation+NFPA70/70E/79 guy these days. Firing someone like me in this labor market over something stupid like a bumper sticker would be a hell of a lot more of a hassle for the guy doing the firing than it would be for the guy getting fired.

/note to any recruiters stumbling across this post: I'm happy where I am, I'm not looking for other opportunities at this time, thanks.

Well the one guy on Fox News who's story was proven to be a complete lie
Then the other guy on Fox News who said he was but turned out he was never a business owner
And the third guy from Fox News that turned out to be a puppet made out of an old lunch sack

Only business that is hurting from Obama care is papa Jon's and that's only because the owner went on national tv and showed us what a giant bag of dicks he is and people stopped buying his nasty pizza

...not sure *what* that truth is, but still.  Makes *me* wonder, anyway...
