When they split, they should just rename the Tea Party as The Don Quixote Party.

They seem to be keeping that one in the pocket for when Hillary starts running.

Why are you surprised, subs?  The current GOP - for a while now - has been operating completely with the same thought process that, in dogs, results in SQUIRREL!

Oh, good. That'll be informative.

I'd like them to look into it, but I doubt we get anything substantive out of that farce.

Benghazi was an inside operation to kill State Dept employees and former SEALs who had stumbled across the connection between Obamacare and al Qaeada.

/makes about as much sense as linking Iraq with 9/11

Republicans hope to ride that and other defects they see in the law into the 2014 congressional elections.

Well, you're off to a great start by having completely pushed the roll-out problems out of the news cycle with your debt standoff, shutdown, and poll numbers in the 20s.  What's the phrase?  "Please proceed."

2013-10-20 01:15:39 PM
Of course. Obamacare is a cash cow for them, why would they abandon a working strategy? It's better than abortion, immigration, and gay marriage combined. Think of all that sweet, sweet campaign cash.

2013-10-20 01:16:10 PM
FTFA:  "Democrats say that's just more wishful thinking, if not obsession."

That is exactly what it is; an obsession. The Republican Party have completely devolved into the anti-obamacare party. Yeah, it's not a perfect law. But I wouldn't even consider it in the the top 10 problems congress needs to address right now. You have to be a complete tard to think Obamacare is going to destroy the Republic.

You'd think the Republicans would learn that opposition by it self isn't a strategy that works well for them. People don't like it when you shutdown the government, threaten the economy, and whatever problems there are with Obamacare it isn't enough just to be opposed. You have to offer actual solutions because shockingly, the majority of Americans want their politicians to work together to govern. So lets say I took them at face value on Obamacare and their argument against it, threatening the economy/shutting down the government/and seeking to remove Obamacare without replacing it with anything is NOT going to persuade me that you are right about anything. Its just going to convince me that you're a crazed lunatic and more dangerous than anything the Democrats have done.

It should be noted that Maudin isn't kidding.  Issa already has hearings scheduled for this week.  He and Boehner were whining on Twitter that some of the people they demanded show up on short notice won't be able to make it.

Then I will expect the Democrats on his committee to point out - repeatedly and loudly - that if the Republicans had gone along with the only correct solution - single payer - we wouldn't need any websites.

Republicans, with their obsession with the ACA, remind me of a hound dog that once it picks a fight with a porcupine always comes back, again and again, no matter how much it hurts.

2013-10-20 01:28:30 PM
Well, I'm sure that now they have a concrete complaint, what with the awkwardness of the system rollout and the unevenness of quality/cost of plans on the exchange (mostly due to state-level intransigence by Republicans, but it's still a problem), they'll be working on legitimate solutions to campaiahahahahaha I'm sorry I can't even finish that sentence

I'm fairly certain the level of derangement we see now against Obama will actually be surpassed should Clinton run and win the nomination.  I know the GOP isn't racist but Number One with racists, but don't discount the fact nobody in the GOP is a misogynist but the party is Number One with misogynists.    Combine that with the standard Clinton Derangement Syndrome and they'll lose their farking minds.

This may be a little off the beaten path here, but has anybody thought that the media might be in bed with the rethugicans and that swoot, swoot campaign cash.  after all, if they crush those lies with barely more than the effort it takes to google, who's going to spend the cash.  Hence the "both sides are bad (so sell republican ads)" theme of modern journalism.

This is one of my favorite narratives because they went through ALL the trouble to "stage" Benghazi to protect their secrets...but some sweaty blogger was able to publicly report it on the internet with absolutely no reprisals.
