Lost text message including picture of man's penis reaches recipient's phone 50 years later.

That will be the sappy story 50 years from now.

It's probably been sitting in some mailman's attic the whole time. One of their kids or grandkids probably found their stash and decided to send it on.

I sent a message to a gal I was dating right before we broke up.

She got it about 2 months later, sent me a message back all pissy about why I was trying to contact her again.

That's all.

How many decades is it from the Nebraska state boarder to Omaha?

Isn't that where they first invented slow food?

Just how long is a day in Nebraska anyway?

Yeah, been there.  Not going back any time in this life Sure the feelings mutual..

I really hoped the story wound up with him marrying the woman's sister, and then the letter shows up...

Relatively speaking, life is long and love is short.

Just another Heartland Weirdass: Relatively speaking, life is long and love is short.

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. "

- except when the letter falls behind a cabinet and no one moves said cabinet to dust for fifty plus years.

(I've had a few packages go on mystery trips over the years, and really all it takes is a draft to hide something small for a long time...)
